Surprising twist in Amy Bradley case as Kim Kardashian 'wants to solve it'

The recent law school grad apparently expressed interest in helping out on the case

Kim Kardashian and her sister Khloé are getting involved in the decades-long search for missing Amy Bradley.

The 23-year-old has been thrust back into the spotlight after Netflix released a documentary about her in July.

Titled Amy Bradley is Missing, the three-part series takes a closer look into her shocking case, including the many conspiracy theories surrounding it.

The Virginia native vanished on a Royal Caribbean cruise near Curacao on March 24 1998. She had been on the cruise vacation with her mom, dad and brother and was last seen on the balcony of their shared cabin.

Her mysterious disappearance has stumped FBI detectives and the public for years, especially due to the fact a body has never been recovered.

Many have had the chance to tune in to the series, including none other than Kim Kardashian.

Back in July, the SKIMS founder posted a photo of her TV having finished the series and she penned: "This doc is mind blowing. Must see Amy Bradley is Missing. We must find Amy! This is so scary @netflix."

Amy's brother, Brad Bradley, previously claimed he'd tried to get in contact with Kim after she showed interest in the case.

Well, the plot thickens as it's been reported that the recent law school graduate - and daughter of OJ Simpson's attorney Robert Kardashian - has contacted Amy's family in an attempt to help out.

TMZ reports that Kim and her younger sister Khloé reached out directly to Amy's mom Iva, speaking via the phone on Thursday (August 13).

They spent around an hour discussing the details of the case and the current status of the investigation, with it being noted that the conversation was private and not filmed for The Kardashians Hulu series.

TMZ states the Kardashian sisters were particularly intrigued by the IP address conundrum explained in the documentary.

The series discussed multiple untapped leads, including an IP address that would regularly visit a website all about Amy's disappearance.

Every birthday, Christmas and on other special occasions, the same address would visit the website multiple times a day.

People reckon this person could be Amy - or know something about the case. However, the IP address couldn't be explored due to jurisdiction; the IP is in Barbados, and the FBI has no power there.

Other theories explored include that she was sex trafficked from the cruise ship, with photos of a woman bearing a striking resemblance to Amy appearing on a sex worker site some years after her disappearance.

The Bradley family continues to hold out hope that Amy could still be alive.
