Netflix users are being left unnerved by a chilling thriller which has been described as 'underrated' and 'disturbing'.

It might only be the first day of summer, but that doesn't mean we can't start thinking about spooky season, does it?

If you already can't wait for the nights to start drawing in, Netflix has got the perfect film to get you in the mood.

The thriller starring Rachel Nichols, Laura Harring and Ben Temple is a remake of a 2007 French movie, and after being originally released in 2016 it's now available on Netflix to watch on demand.

The movie, set in the US, focuses on a woman in her third trimester of pregnancy, who was looking forward to the birth of her child until a terrible accident changes the course of her family life.

Despite being assured by her doctor that 'all is well', things take a sinister turn as she starts being stalked by a stranger who's obsessed with her unborn child.

Directed by Miguel Ángel Vivas, the movie, titled Inside, captivated viewers following its release, with many praising the remake for improving on the original.

One viewer went as far as to describe the movie as the 'best Hollywood remake', writing in an IMDb review: "The original Inside (2007) overrated, and this remake (2016) underrated. I really like this movie, high tension , solid acting and MORE!! Very very RECOMMEND!!"

Another gave the movie a solid 10/10 rating, writing: "Strongest Character, likeable Villain, Amazing Acting, Best Sound and Cinematography and More!! This Film very very recommended if you like thriller movie[s]. Better Than Original."

Over on LADbible's Netflix Bangers Facebook page, one viewer described Inside as 'one of the most disturbing' movies they have ever watched.

"THATS A GREAT MOVIE. HIGHLY RECOMMEND," another wrote.

Some viewers have been more critical of the film, which has earned a middling score of 4.6/10 on IMDb, but it's clearly managed to still gain a lot of fans.

Responding to the rating, one fan commented: "WOW...I was going to give this movie a pass because of the rating, but so glad I didn't. All I saw is 1 out of 10 reviews. That is extremely unfair.

"This is a very intense, great horror. Is it better than the original? No, but who cares. I saw the original 10 years ago. I loved that movie, and I really liked this one[...] HIGHLY recommended!"

Inside is available to watch on a variety of streaming services depending on where you are in the world, with viewers recommending Prime and Tubi as alternative places to find it.
