A new Netflix crime series has been taking the platform by storm and has subscribers binging it in droves.
Netflix is forever putting out new films and TV shows so it can be easy to miss sleeper hits, especially if it isn’t English and you aren’t on Twitter.
But in just a few weeks, a Swedish crime drama has already hit the top 10 of non-English shows and has been praised vastly on social media.

Releasing on the streaming platform on April 15 this year, the mini-series has already racked up a whopping 73 million hours viewed despite only being a 6-episode mini-series.
On Rotten Tomatoes the show has an impressive 88 percent tomatometer score but holds significantly lower score on the popcorn meter, only at 55 percent.

The show is called The Glass Dome and reviewers have been kind to the show and noted it is well-worth a watch.

One reviewer wrote: “Although it tags a few familiar bases — an unreliable main character who’s overmedicating, a less than bereaved husband — it’s always engrossing even when the actions of the characters get more and more infuriating.
And another wrote: “While the limited series isn't perfect, it still gives you a solid half-day binge with a few chilling moments and mild entertainment.”
The show’s premise focusses on a criminologist and her former police chief partner who investigate a case involving a young girl in a small Swedish town. This ends up being the same town where our protagonist was held hostage as a young girl.
The story seemed to grip many of the people who tuned in and some have taken to social media to comment how impressed they were overall with the series.
