Netflix Drops Trailer For Bizarre New X-Rated Reality Series

The series is exactly what it sounds like, with luxury interior designer Melanie Rose making couples' most elaborate fantasies come true.

Netflix just dropped a trailer for its new X-rated show How To Build a Sex Room.

We'd argue it should've been called Extreme Makeover: Bone Edition but whatever.

Awful jokes aside, the series is exactly what it sounds like, with luxury interior designer Melanie Rose making couples' most elaborate fantasies come true.

Check out the trailer below:

Think of Melanie as a fairy godmother, but for sex rooms, as the synopsis for the show reads: "Couples looking for more spice in the bedroom hire luxury interior designer Melanie Rose to create stylish spaces where they can carry out any fantasy they wish. You've seen kitchen renovations, you've seen bathroom transformations, but you've never seen anything quite like this!"

We'd argue that anyone who watched Pam and Tommy has seen home renovations exactly like this but it does seem like a decent watch.

With the trailer showing Melanie cut straight to it upon entering one couple's home: "I understand that you want a sex room?" the designer asks.

Hilariously the couple look surprised, as if they thought they'd signed up for Chef's Table and some lady's in their gaff pottering on about sex rooms.

Contractor Mike tests one of the beds.

Cut past their initial awkwardness, and it seems like Melanie is really helping each couple, tailoring the rooms to suit their preferences, with one remarking: "You are our angel for our marriage."

People were – obviously – quick to respond to the series on Twitter, with one user writing: "Netflix is showing a series called How to Build a Sex Room, and finally someone decided to combine my love of sex documentaries with home improvement."

Another hilariously wrote: "I see Netflix has a new show landing in July called "How to Build a Sex Room" and realize this generation has no idea what a leather jacket on a back seat is for."

Still, we'd bet that the series is going to rise to the top of the Netflix charts, with some even saying they'd like it to cross over with other popular shows on the platform.

Melanie also designs luxury homes.

With one writing: "Synergy is Vecna appearing on How To Build a Sex Room," and we'd honestly rather venture into the Upside Down than see that episode.

Not everyone was thrilled with the series though, with one user writing: "If some stranger approached me with instructions on how to build a "sex room", I'd be like "get away from me you creepy weirdo!!"

We'd argue that person's not watched the trailer though, because Melanie and her contractor are doing all the hard graft.

How To Build a Sex Room comes to Netflix on 8 July.
