Kyra Sedgwick finds filming sex scenes in movies with Kevin Bacon ‘weird’

Kyra Sedgwick revealed filming love scenes with her husband Kevin Bacon is 'weird'

Kyra Sedgwick admitted that she finds filming sex scenes in movies with Kevin Bacon 'weird'.

Sedgwick, 57, starred with Bacon in the 1991 sex comedy Pyrates.

It's the story of a couple who experience pyrokinesis after having sex - a psychic ability to create and control fire with their minds.

The duo married in 1988 before going on to film raunchy sex scenes together in movies including 1995’s Murder in the First and 2004's The Woodsman.

Due to the couple's real-life romance, Sedgwick found it 'much harder' to tell if 'it was real or not' while on set.

"As an actor, you sometimes have these dreams when you start a job where you’re sleeping and they’re filming you," she told Yahoo! Entertainment.

"With Pyrates, I was [sleeping] with my husband and they were filming it!

"It’s like, ‘This can’t be real - I’m having a dream."

The actor revealed that they were looking for a male lead who would raise the money to make it.

She said: "I asked Kevin if he would read the script, and he liked the idea of us doing it together.

"We didn’t think, ‘Is it weird for us to do a sex comedy?’.

"At the time, we were newly married and had our first kid, so the idea of us playing this couple that has such great sex that the room spontaneously bursts into flame was really funny.”

The couple met on the set of the 1988 PBS film Lemon Sky, and are parents to two children: Travis, 33, and Sosie, 31.

Sedgwick told People that she finds Bacon 'freaking funny' and they always have been each other's 'biggest support and fans'.

The Hollow Man actor said of his wife: "To me, walking down the street together just shooting the s**t in the middle of the night still feels like a nice place to be."

After playing a fictionalised version of himself in The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, Bacon recently featured in Sedgwick’s big-screen directorial debut Space Oddity, which was released last year.
