He may have done plenty of crazy things on purpose, but Johnny Knoxville may have just accidentally given away the setting of The White Lotus’s next season.
The Jackass star is a close friend of the series creator Mike White, and recently discussed a holiday the pair undertook – where the next instalment of HBO drama could be set.
Having won countless Emmys and Golden Globes this year, details of a future series of the award-winning drama are being closely guarded.

This hasn’t stopped Knoxville from potentially revealing the next series’ setting, though.
It happened as the 51-year-old sat down with Vulture to discuss the cancelation of his sitcom Reboot, despite the secrecy surrounding the HBO series.
He told the outlet: “I love acting and producing films, and making documentaries… If a good television show comes along, of course, I’ll pay attention, because television is so good now. I’d be foolish not to pay attention.”
Shortly, after he was asked about potentially appearing in The White Lotus and revealed that he’d been holidaying with the series’ showrunner.
“Are you kidding?” he replied, adding: “Mike White is a very close friend of mine. He and I had been in Tokyo together. I think that’s where the next… oh, I’m not giving anything away.”
He then joked: “I might call him again as soon as this is over.”
Despite the comment being brushed off by the Jackass star, it seems to echo what The White Lotus’ showrunner has already confirmed about the third series.
Shortly after the second season aired, White teased that a future series would look at death, spirituality and Eastern religion.
"It feels like it could be a rich tapestry to do another round at White Lotus," he added.
White also told Deadline that it would be ‘fun’ to go to a ‘whole different content’, echoing his earlier comments about The White Lotus’ third series.
Traditionally, the series has also been filmed at the Four Seasons, with season one filmed in Hawaii and the second in Sicily, Italy.
It means there’s good chance that the third will also be filmed at another branch of the hotel chain, possibly in Kyoto.
Sadly, fans can only speculate about the next series of the HBO drama with many wondering who will appear in the anthology series. They have even been trying to track the series’ boat, in a bid to figure out the location.
For now though, The White Lotus is head for destination unknown.
