Jennifer Coolidge continues her remarkable comeback as she stars in an advert that will appear in the upcoming Super Bowl.

While the sport is supposed to be the main event when it comes to the annual event, the commercials definitely play a huge role on the night.

In the past, the Super Bowl has been the place to introduce new trailer for films, video games, to even some snacks you'll likely be indulging in while watching the main event.

Placing ads in one of the biggest sporting events of the year is rather expensive, though.

According to Forbes, a 30-second Super Bowl advert this year costs an astonishing $7 million (£5.7 million).

That's up from $6.5 million in 2022 (£5.3 million) and $5.5 million (£4.5 million) in 2021.

One of those who will appear on our TV screens during Super Bowl LVII is Jennifer Coolidge, who will appear in an ad alongside The White Lotus director Mike White.

The actor described the chance to play the role of a dolphin as a 'dream', as she stars in an advert for e.l.f. cosmetics.

In a teaser released for the commercial ahead of the Super Bowl, Coolidge showed off her comedic knowhow and some high-pitched dolphin sounds.

The Golden Globe winner showcased the brand's Power Grip primer in the ad, as she explains: "I love presents! Get ready for prime time!

The actor then applies the product to her face, adding: "Oh my gosh! It looks like I came from the sea, I look like a dolphin!

"Like a baby dolphin!' before launching into a series of high-pitched squeaks and whistles.

"I love it. This primer stuff is sticky. I'm so dewy, people are going to complain!"

The script for the advert was written by White, who is arguably best known for the much-loved The White Lotus series.

The full commercial for the beauty product will air on 12 February during the second quarter of the Superbowl between Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles.

Coolidge's advert appearance comes a month after wining the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actress.

In her acceptance speech, she shared heartfelt remarks to White, who 'changed her life'.

She said: "Mike White has given me hope. You've given me a new beginning, even if this is the end - because you did kill me off, but it doesn't matter!

"Even if this is the end, you've changed my life in a million different ways. My neighbours are speaking to me, things like that!

"I mean it, I was never invited to one party on my hill, and now everyone's inviting me!"
