A woman was urged by her TikTok followers to go straight to hospital after making a shocking discovery in her toilet and documenting it to her followers on social media.

Going to the loo for some people is the only bit of peace and quiet they get during day, but a visit to the bathroom for Alison Doyle recently proved anything but.

Posting on TikTok under the @tismpump username, Alison is known for sharing updates to her 55,000+ followers regarding fitness and bodybuilding, while also opening up on her struggles with mental health and ADHD.

Well, in a recent video that went viral, Alison opened her toilet seat to find a dead bat lying in there, much to her shock.

The TikToker filmed her reaction to seeing the deceased animal and the horror that unfolded afterwards. "THIS IS SO FUNNY NOW IM AT THE HOSPITAL LIKE WHAT," she explained in the caption to the video.

"I tried to touch it to see if it was alive," Alison added in the viral video. "It’s definitely smaller than the biggest poop I’ve taken."

Many flocked to the comments section of the TikTok video to urge the woman to visit A&E.

Alison explained in follow-up videos how she has since had a rabies shot amid her encounter with the bat.

The Bat Conversation notes a small number of bats 'carry rabies-like viruses called European Bat Lyssaviruses (EBLV)', though the risk of catching the virus from bats is 'very small'.

It was the comments from Alison's followers that saw her head to the hospital after initially thinking a visit would not be required, considering the bat didn't bite her.

Rabies is usually caught from a bite or scratch of an infected animal, though it can also be passed on through saliva if an infected animal licks your eyes, nose or mouth.

Nonetheless, Alison didn't want to take any chances.

"This is going to sound really dumb. A couple hours ago, I found a dead bat in my toilet," Alison could be heard telling a medical professional in a follow-up video.

“I posted it on TikTok and I had, like, a hundred people telling me I should get a rabies shot.

"I’m autistic, I have a really hard time even going grocery shopping, so if you don’t think that I need it, I would rather just go home."

Alison was assured by a hospital worker that 'It’s good' she took no chances and came in.
