A couple who went viral on TikTok after discussing how they have sex when one of them is paralyzed have explained their decision to share the personal video.

Neven Hart and his fiancée, Amber, have gained almost 550,000 followers on TikTok by sharing insights into their lives, which they were forced to adapt when Neven became paralyzed from the waist down following a dirt bike accident.

The couple discuss everything from their past to their future, though Neven has admitted there was one thing they 'weren't going to do a video on', and it fell under the topic of sex.

In a now-viral TikTok video they shared in September, the couple walked viewers through the whole process, including how Neven was able to get an erection despite being paralyzed from the waist down.

He explained that he gets some help from an injection, which he puts into the base of his penis. Once that's taken care of, Neven and Amber are able to get into different positions with the help of a chair known as the 'intimate rider'.

The chair is designed to help people with paralysis, and allows them to control the entire chair simply by moving their neck.

"Basically, this goes back and forward, and- motion in the ocean baby," Neven says, laughing.

As he showed off the chair, Neven admitted he and Amber weren't originally going to post about the device, but the couple explained why they changed their minds.

In the clip, Amber explained 'a lot' of people were curious about how she and Neven are able to get intimate.

She continued: "We're just gonna do this video as, number one, education for people who are going through the same thing. That is the main reason why we post these videos. It's not for all the weirdos, or the people being rude."

"We know that there's young people going through the exact same thing that we are, and we want to be here to educate them and let them know that things are still possible," she said.

Neven agreed, saying that if it 'helps another guy', then it would be worth it.

Speaking to Buzzfeed News, Amber added that she and Neven decided to open up because there was 'no information' on the topic of sex when Neven first got injured.

"Knowing what we know now, we are posting this information so we can help other young couples or individuals who are going through the same thing," she said.

The pair have been widely praised for their candour on the most intimate subjects, with viewers describing their information as 'so important'.
