People believe there's a glitch in the matrix as squirrel appears out of nowhere in the middle of road

If you've ever had one of those moments where you can't quite believe what just happened before your very eyes, then you're not alone.

But while most of us are left questioning whether it was reality or simply a figment of our imagination, one TikTok user managed to capture their moment on camera, and it's left us pretty mind blown...

A TikTok user, who goes by the handle @sethturner_the1, re-shared a clip of a woman sitting inside a car, watching a squirrel on the road in front of her, but this is where things get really weird...

In the clip, the woman can be heard saying, "I am witnessing a glitch in the f***ing Matrix, and I swear to God, if this squirrel doesn't come back out, I'm going to have a panic attack."

At first, however, it can be difficult to work out what the woman is talking about, as she appears to be filming an empty piece of tarmac where nothing is really happening.

However, the woman goes on to say: "Do you see its nose?! I'm not going crazy. Oh my God, wait, stop it," as a small something appears in the top right of the video.

And as the clip goes on, low and behold, a small, grey squirrel suddenly appears on the tarmac as if from nowhere, leaving the woman completely gobsmacked.

"There is nothing there, there is not a grate there, there's not a f***ing grate there," she continues, asking, "Where did this b***h just come from?!"

"What the f***," she added. "He just came out of nothing!!!"

And in all honesty, we're just as confused as she is.

Unless the video is edited, and there's no signs to suggest it is, we all just saw that squirrel appear from nowhere.

Magic? Probably not. An optical illusion? Perhaps. A glitch in the matrix? Yep, we're pretty sure that's what's happening at this point.

The clip has been doing the rounds on the internet for a few years now, and sadly we're no closer to working out what actually happened out there.

And people were left just as perplexed.

On another reupload, one person wrote: "wow. wtf did i just see," while another said: "the squirrel respawned."

A third said: "The first one makes me think we are in a simulator."

And a fourth said it wasn't just a 'glitch in the matrix', but instead a 'shadow demon'.

However, many were quick to suggest there could be a 'crack or seam in the pavement' that the squirrel could have crawled out of.

But wherever the squirrel is and no matter which reality it's currently living in, we hope it's doing well after causing all this drama.

And it turns out this isn't the first hint we've had at a glitch in the matrix, as people were left baffled by a helicopter which appeared to float in mid-air while its propellers aren't moving.

It's a crazy world we're living in.
