A person made an unexpected discovery after blowing their nose in the shower.

Andi Norton recently took to Instagram to share their experience and how they came to discover that they had a small piece of Lego lodged in their nose for over 20 years.

Andi, who identifies as they/them, recalled in the now-viral clip that they'd put some Lego up their nose back in the 90s when they were around the age of six.

Andi's mom believed she'd successfully removed it from her child's nose at the time, but they've long suffered with breathing difficulties.

Speaking to Newsweek, Andi explained: "My whole life I've had sinus sensitivity, allergies, and issues with congestion.

"Since I am allergic to cats, dogs, grass, many of the native trees and dust, and I've always been exposed to one or more of these things, I lived my life assuming any congestion issues were just simply caused by the allergies."

With their breathing issues in mind, they were urged by their doctor to blow their nose while in the shower because the humidity and steam can help ease congestion.

Following their doctor's advice, Andi had been blowing their nose in the shower when one day something 'really hard' flew out of their nostril.

"My initial thought with the thing flying out was that I had somehow hurt myself, or blown out a mass of something that wasn't supposed to come out," Andi told People. "The sound it made my initial thought was it was rock or maybe a tooth."

But upon further inspection Andi realized that what came out of his nose was in fact a small piece of Lego.

Their childhood then came flooding back to them as Andi recalled having played with the tiny construction toys back in the day.

"I can breathe out of this side of my nose now, and it's fantastic," Andi went on. "I haven't been able to do that since I was a child."

Andi's story quickly went viral, with their original Reddit post having amassed over four million views.

Meanwhile the Instagram video has generated dozens of comments.

One person wrote: "Holy s**t what a wild ride!!! I'm so happy for you though!"

A second added: "Awesome story!!! 90s kids were tough!! Rock on Lego Man!"

Others labeled the whole saga as 'hilarious' and 'bonkers'.

Someone else insisted: "Lego needs to send you something cool for this story! Wow, this is incredible."
