Man who ‘died three times and went to heaven’ recalled meeting his dad there

The experience of dying is something most of us only go through once - for obvious reasons - but one man has spoken out after he died and came back to life three times.

By the age of eight, most children haven't experienced anything much scarier than creepy Halloween costumes or jumpy moments in kids' movies.

But Landon Kemp, from Charlotte, North Carolina, lived through something much more terrifying at the young age when the car he was traveling in crashed into an ambulance.

The incident took place on October 19, 1997, when Landon was on the way back from church with his parents, Andy and Julie.

The horrific crash sadly proved fatal for Andy, and it initially looked like it would mark the end of Landon's life, as well.

The eight-year-old had to be resuscitated at the scene, after which he was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance. Landon had to be resuscitated once again during the journey, and a third time at the hospital.

Though he was only young at the time, what Landon experienced during that time has stuck with him.

In an interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network, Julie recalled telling Landon about his father's death shortly after the accident.

She recalled: "I didn't want to hurt him anymore. So I asked him, 'Landon, do you know where your Dad is at?'"

When Landon responded, he made a revelation that indicated the existence of an afterlife - one where he was able to see his father.

Julie continued: "And he told me, 'Yes I know where he's at - I saw him in heaven'."

Looking back, Landon believes he visited heaven each time he died, before being brought back to life.

He told the Christian Broadcasting Network: "I remember being able to see my dad and his friend Olan Palmer who had passed away less than a month before he did, also in a car accident.

"And Olan's son, Neal Palmer, who had died on a four-wheeler years before."

Sharing further details of his time apparently spent in heaven, Landon said 'no one spoke', but that he could see everyone standing around until he was revived.

He also claimed to have seen other dead people while there, including his two unborn siblings who his mother had lost during miscarriages.

"I knew that they were my siblings even though no one had ever told me about them," Landon said.

He also saw a figure he believes to be Jesus Christ, who 'instructed him to return to Earth to 'be a good Christian and tell others about him''.
