Student reveals what they are served for breakfast in Korea and people are stunned

The dishes hardly look like a hangover cure but sure would be a good breakfast

University can be a brilliant time filled with worthwhile memories but sometimes the cafeteria food can be lacking.

So much so that this has led to a massive shock when people saw what students at a Korean university have access to for their first meal of the day.

Getting a good breakfast while studying is always a must - sometimes you don't fancy having another packet of instant noodles to keep you going.

That being said, not all universities are created equally when it comes to cafeteria food. Some of them go pretty hard while others leave much to be desired.

A TikTok page, aptly named @universitybreakfast_2, shows the dining habits of one student at an unnamed university in Korea.

After watching their videos social media users were left stunned for two reasons - one, simply for the major differences between the options available between the US and in Korea, and two, because of the portion sizes.

One clip, which has also been shared on Twitter, shows the student scanning a card in before grabbing a tray and cutlery and heading over to the food options.

She then proceeds to scoop out a small portion of rice before adding a little bit of kimchi and what looks like some veg.

The student also grabs a small bowl of something that looks like it's been fried and douses it in sauce.

She then adds a small bit of seaweed to her rice before picking up a bowl of soup and two eggs.

While the food looks delicious, some TikTokers insisted that it was simply not enough.

“Such small portions, I'm hungry,” one person joked.

A second wrote: “I’m definitely taking 3 scoops of rice and more kimchi… what kind of games are we playing here.”

Some users remarked how the options looked very different to what they were used to eating in their US university cafeterias.

“Where the bacon, eggs, and biscuits with gravy. Large OJ and a cup of coffee,” one person on Twitter commented.

Another passionately added: “Omg that does NOT look good! I need me some over easy eggs with some toast and hash browns bacon with some orange juice to drink !!”

However, others commented that this breakfast was likely a lot healthier and more filling than it looked.

One wrote: "Good breakfast. Just enough. Not too much."

A second put: "That's the breakfast I want."

And someone else claimed: "I would never leave this university."

Whatever you opt for at breakfast time, I hope it gives you the energy to combat the nonsense of the upcoming day.
