Customer left ‘speechless’ after Chipotle server throws away entire bowl of food when they ask for more chicken

People couldn't believe how casually the Chipotle server dumped the food into the trash

People were left utterly bemused after seeing a Chipotle server throw away a plate of food after the customer simply asked for a little bit more.

If you are a regular at Chipotle you know just how satisfying it is to get the perfect meal thanks to a brilliant server being generous.

Conversely, nothing can grind your gears quite like not getting enough in your order.

A TikTok user's video has gone viral after he recorded a worker binning his order and starting again when he asked for a little bit more chicken.

Yep, doesn't really make much sense and it seems many people on social media agreed.

Even in the clip you can hear the customer question why the server chucked the whole thing out.

The video - which was shared on banigocrazy's TikTok page - had many viewers asking... well, why they did that.

The user captioned the video, 'I’m speechless’, and the video caption read: "POV: Chipotle workers don’t like when you ask for more protein."

In the clip, the user is heard explaining what he wants on his Chipotle bowl order and when it comes to the meat, he said he wanted half and half steak and chicken. So far so good.

But before the server moves on, he asks if she can add a little bit more chicken to which the server turned around and placed the order in the bin.

The Chipotle worker then says they can do that and begins remaking the order. Bizarre.

The customer can even be heard asking why she threw it away, albeit in a very defeated tone.

Users on social media began weighing in on what happened and questioned why all the food had to be dumped rather than more chicken simply being added to the existing order.

“I’m so confused why she threw it away,” one wrote.

Some suggested the serve may have noticed there was something wrong with the order, like a fly or hair was already in the food.

While others remarked servers can face punishment if they do not know exactly how much food they are giving customers in their orders.

“As an ex chipotle employee is the managers who twist our arms to make sure we know exactly the portions we serve otherwise WE get punished,” one TikToker claimed.

While another added: "I don’t work at chipotle but I work at subway and there’s nothing more annoying than a customer asking for a little bit more MF THEY COUNT EVERYTHING."
