Tom Holland has shared a cryptic response about his future as Spider-Man.
The actor, 29, has been playing the iconic character for eight years across three Spider-Man movies - and six MCU movies in total - with the fourth set to be released in July 2026.
Now, Holland has opened up about the future of his character and how long he might play the role for.
When asked if he had considered how long he could continue as Spider-Man, Holland told UNILAD: “It's all about what's in front of you, and right now what's in front of us is Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and focusing on making that movie worthy of the last movie.

“It's been a really interesting task getting to set and figuring out the story, and I have been actively sifting through the internet and trying to best understand what it is that the fans want from a Spider-Man movie, and that's been my driving force in these pitch meetings."
Holland added that he didn't 'know what the future looks like' and doesn't 'know the answers' to what could lie ahead.
“And I think the producers, at times were like, absolutely sick of me, but I think it's really important, because, you know, we make these movies for them, and I don't know what the future of it looks like," he continued.

“All I know is that right now, what we have and what we're working on is very bright, and I think it's going to be really fantastic. And it feels very different, fresh, profound and new, yeah, but in terms of, like, my future in the character beyond this film, I don't know the answers to that question.”
When asked if he could describe his ultimate role, he added: “As an actor, you know, I'm just blessed to be doing what I'm doing.
"Yeah, I'm not trying to be greedy in any way. I just walked on set yesterday for Spider-Man four, Spider Man: Brand New Day, as I should be saying, I just am loving it, and I'm lucky, and I don't want to ever be too greedy."

As well as filming for the fourth movie, Holland also has a wedding to plan, after getting engaged to fiancée Zendaya earlier this year.
Holland and Zendaya met on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2016, with rumours circulating that they were dating the following year.
In January, Zendaya was spotted with a diamond engagement ring at the 82nd Golden Globes.
Holland's dad, Dominic Holland, later spoke about the couple's engagement in a Patreon blog post.

"The big news this week is a good example of just such an opportunity for me—are they/aren’t they engaged?" he wrote.
"Zendaya wearing a ring and Tom nowhere to be seen, adding to the intrigue.
"Tom, as you know by now was very incredibly well prepared. He had purchased a ring. He had spoken with her father and gained permission to propose to his daughter. Tom had everything planned out… When, where, how, what to say, what to wear."

Dominic added: "...Even though show-business is a messy place for relationships and particularly so for famous couples as they crash and burn in public and are too numerous to mention…I am completely confident they will make a successful union."
