Ricky Martin has broken his silence after his nephew retracted claims they had a sexual relationship.
The singer had been embroiled in a shocking alleged scandal where his 21-year-old nephew accused him of domestic violence and incest.
According to Spanish news site Marca, the report was initially filed anonymously, however, the family link to the claims was eventually made public.

The young man has now backtracked on the allegations and the singer says he's now on a path of healing.
In a video (via Extra), the 50-year-old said he wasn't able to 'defend' himself.
"It has been so painful, it has been so devastating for me, for my family, for my friends," he said.

"To the person who was claiming this nonsense, I wish him the best. I wish he finds the help so he can start a new life filled with love and truth and joy and he doesn't hurt anybody else.
"Now, my priority is to heal and how do I heal? With music. I cannot wait to be back on stage."
He thanked his friends and his fans for giving him strength through the whole process.
Since Martin denied the claims against him, he was set to battle it out against his alleger in court. If found guilty, he could've faced up to 50 years in jail.

However, officials have now confirmed that the case has since been dropped.
In a joint statement released on Martin’s Instagram page, his lawyers said: "Just as we had anticipated, the temporary protection order was not extended by the Court.
“The accuser confirmed to the court that his decision to dismiss the matter was his alone, without any outside influence or pressure, and the accuser confirmed he was satisfied with his legal representation in the matter.

“The request came from the accuser asking to dismiss the case.
"This was never anything more than a troubled individual making false allegations with absolutely nothing to substantiate them.
"We are glad that our client saw justice done and can now move forward with his life and his career.”
According to TMZ, the judge is also reported to have dismissed the temporary restraining order, which was filed in Puerto Rico on July 1.

Martin's nephew previously claimed that the singer 'exercised physical and and psychological attacks' against him amid an alleged seven-month 'illegal incest relationship', which was said to have ended two months ago.
