AI creates what dead celebrities would look like if they were still alive today and people aren’t happy

AI creates what dead celebrities would look like if they were still alive today and people aren’t happy

AI made some interesting choices when it came to creating the celebrities today

With all the changes that popular hairdos, fashion and general style have gone through over the years, have you ever wondered what some celebrities would look like if they were still alive today? Well, thanks to AI, now you don't have to.

There are a lot of new developments that famous faces including Steve Irwin, Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn sadly haven't been around to see, one of them being AI itself.

Admittedly these celebrities might be horrified at the prospect of being brought back from the grave just to be aged a few decades, but unfortunately they're not around to put a stop to it.

As a result, one Reddit user has taken to the platform to share what the stars might look like if they have lived until 2023, and unfortunately not all of them have gone down well.

Michael Jackson

AI hasn't nailed Michael Jackson.

Jackson has a bit of experience with the undead thanks to his music video Thriller, but fans definitely aren't impressed with the way he's been depicted if he was still alive now.

Artificial intelligence has imagined the King of Pop with thick, long, slicked-back hair and big eyes, with a face that, for whatever reason, looks nothing like Jackson himself.

"I feel like Michael Jackson is way off here," one baffled Reddit user wrote after seeing the image, while another confused person commented: "I have no idea what's going on with Michael Jackson."

Another person argued there was 'no way' MJ would have 'let himself develop a wrinkle' - so I think we're all in agreement that AI didn't nail this one.

River Phoenix

River Phoenix was just 23 when he died.

Brother of the renowned Joaquin Phoenix; Stand By Me star and Academy Award nominee River Phoenix needs no introduction.

He sadly passed away 30 years ago when he was just 23 years old, so what might he have looked like today, in his mid-50s? Well, according to AI, he looks like Darkest Hour actor Gary Oldman.

Phoenix still has his thick hair, but he now has glasses, a moustache and beard, and a lot more wrinkles than he did when he was alive.

Numerous Reddit users have pointed out that he just looks like Oldman, while one argued: "No way he'd be that old!"

Princess Diana

Anyone else see Camilla?

Princess Diana's face is perhaps one of the most well-known to people across the globe, but after her death in 1997 the public sadly never got to see her age beyond 36.

If she were still alive today, AI has predicted that she'd still have her volumous, wavy hair and some jewellery fit for a princess, but people aren't very happy with the rest of her appearance. In fact, some have pointed out that she looks like her former husband's wife, Camilla Parker-Bowles.

"Diana looks like Camilla here...," one comment reads, while another person said the AI creation had 'hit hard'.

Steve Irwin

At least Steve Irwin's outfit is right?

Not all of the creations were complete failures, with Irwin's older self managing to capture his hair, outfit and smiling face - though admittedly his eyes are slightly terrifying.

One slightly confused viewer compared his appearance to the 'shop owner from Frozen', though others were satisfied enough with the result, with one commenting: "It’s nice to see you again, Steve Irwin. Cheers mate."

Freddie Mercury

Freddie Mercury's AI still has his iconic moustache.

The world lost arguably one of its greatest performers with the death of Freddie Mercury in 1991, but if he were still alive today it's clear he'd still be a big presence, because he looks a little bit like an old version of Jeff Goldblum.

AI has given the singer grey hair, though his iconic moustache is still black. He's wearing a jazzy outfit in true Mercury fashion, and looks just about as ready to take to the stage as he ever did.

Unfortunately, though, the reviews weren't great for his older self, with one person writing: "Freddie Mercury looks like he wants to sell me falafel on the street corner."

With these kinds of responses, I'm sure some of the stars are thankful they're not around for any more of AI's creations.
