Family Feud host Steve Harvey defends wife Marjorie Harvey following affair rumors

The pair have been married since 2007

Family Feud host Steve Harvey insists he is not having a family feud.

Steve, 66, and wife of 16 years, Marjorie, 58, have come out and denied rumors of an alleged affair.

Watch the comedian clear the air below:

Steve and Marjorie have been married since 2007 and he adopted her three children from a previous relationship: daughters Morgan, 38, and Lori, 26, and son Jason, 32. Steve also has four other children from past relationships.

"Marjorie changed the way I existed," the TV host told PEOPLE in 2012.

"I'd never been in a healthy adult relationship. I'd never been loyal, I'd never been fully respected."

Marjorie added: "We're best friends. It's the first time either of us has had someone we can talk to about everything."

But last month, Steve shut down rumors that his wife has cheated on him.

“[My] marriage is fine," he told an audience at Invest Fest in Atlanta.

“I don’t know what y’all are doin’, but find something else to do cause we fine, Lord have mercy.”

On Monday (11 September) Steve elaborated on how he 'married a good woman'.

“She's the best thing to ever happen to me. She's God-fearing, she's loyal, she's faithful, and she's a kind and loving person,” he said during an episode of the Steve Harvey Morning Show.

“I don't care what nobody say - and y'all quit talking about she was in my other marriage and ruined it. She didn't. She was nowhere around that.”

He said Marjorie did not enter the picture until a year after his divorce from Mary Shackelford.

“I got divorced in 2005,” Steve added. “My marriage was over when the Kings of Comedy was out. Y'all ain't know that though, did you? It was over then. It wasn't worth a quarter then. It took us this long to get to the divorce, that's when the official paperwork came out.”

He continued: “In 2005, I had nothing. I lost the radio show we were on in L.A. on May 23, and I lost the only TV show I had on May 10. Steve Harvey had no money. Got with Marjorie on New Year's Eve, met her, talked to her. She was with her kids in Hawaii, we got together in 2006, we had nothing. She didn't marry into no riches. I had nothing when I asked her to marry me at the end of 2006.”

Taking to Instagram last month, Marjorie also commented on the rumors, writing: “My husband and I don’t usually stop to address all the foolishness and lies that have been spread about us.

“However to whom much is given much is required. I understand that with my platform comes some sort of responsibility to those that may not be as strong as we are.

“Read and share this with your love ones that may not know how to properly cope. God Bless all of you 🙏🏾😍.”
