“It’s the future I can see,” ring the lyrics of That’s So Raven still – a whole 20 years since its release by the way. Sorry if that’s made you feel ancient.

Many of us who grew up in the 00’s will share a nostalgic love for the Disney Channel classics. I’m talking Zach and Cody, Wizards of Waverly Place, Hannah Montana, all the good stuff.

While the Sprouse twins obviously didn’t live in the Tipton Hotel and Selena Gomez isn’t actually a wizard, fellow Disney star Raven-Symoné may share an interesting similarity with her character.

That’s So Raven originally aired from 2003 to 2007, with the titular character a teen with hidden psychic abilities.

In each episode, Raven would see glimpses of her, her friend’s or her families’ future.

And it’s still sort of going on now by the way, in the form of Raven’s Home with season six recently added to Disney Plus.

But can Raven really see the future? Well she does seem to believe she can see something psychic-like.

In a recent episode of her and wife Miranda Maday’s podcast, The Best Podcast Ever, the topic of ‘psychic’ came up on a game of ‘Spin The Wheel’ with their guest, Keke Palmer.

And this led to her admission: “I believe in psychics, puns f--king intended. What I believe is humans have the ability in their brain to tap into energy fields that allow for truth to connect when you know how to translate it correctly.

“I can walk into a room and read the room—and people might not think that's psychic—but what that is is reading energy. And energy is in the psychic plane, because it's not on a physical, material plane."

Not only does she say she can ‘read the energy’ but she explains there’s ‘moments where I really will just stare’, a lot like her cult Disney character.

In these moments, Raven says she will ‘see a scene that is happening, that has happened to me or going to happen in another dimension’ and can ‘feel’ it in her body.

“And I'm like 'yo, this is weird.’”

However, the 37-year-old is somewhat sceptical of people who straight up claim they’re psychics, joking she’d ask for her money back if someone’s like ‘look into my crystal ball’.

But she adds: “I do believe there's auras, you have to understand the human body and our energy field, and those auras that hold the experiences of all of our people.”

So maybe there is some kind of future Raven can see after all…
