Police officers do welfare check on Britney Spears following concerning knife video

Fans have been very worried about her and cops decided to visit her home to ensure everything was okay.

Police have visited the home of Britney Spears to make sure she was okay following a bizarre recent video.

41-year-old Spears left fans very concerned after posting a clip to her Instagram earlier this week.

Everyone is very well versed with the singer's living room dancing videos.

However, this one showed her with two knives in her hands as she busted a few moves in the large room.

The caption read: "I started playing in the kitchen with knives today!!! Don’t worry they are NOT real knives !!! Halloween is soon!!!"

Despite Spears reassuring fans the knives are 'NOT real,' it didn't stop people flocking to X - formerly known as Twitter - in concern for the star after she turned off comments on Instagram.

One X user said: "Im sorry but she does not act like she is well."

"Instead of standing with Britney how about supporting getting some help for Britney," another added.

A third commented: "Cries for help aren't always verbalized. Sometimes behavior tells you a lot without saying anything at all."

It seems like there was so much concern about Britney that cops have done a welfare check on her.

The Ventura County Sheriff's Department paid a visit to Britney's home and made sure everything was fine, according to Fox News Digital.

The outlet stated: "Once the sheriff's department established from two independent sources Spears was not in any danger physically or emotionally, officials felt comfortable enough to clear the call without incident."

Britney uploaded a video after all the hubbub and it was easy to notice that she was sporting a cut on her leg and a bandage on her arm.

She addressed the criticism in another dancing video where she said: "Lighten up about the knives I’m copying Shakira."

Britney is referring to the moment that Shakira danced with a set of blades during her recent MTV VMAs performance.

There were also some fans who defended Spears from the barrage of criticism.

"It wasn't dangerous. Good grief. Leave the woman alone and get a hobby," said one supporter.

Another added: So what, she has done this routine before, as have many dancers, they use knives lit on fire also... Leave Brittany Aloneeeeeahhhh."

A third added: "She's mimicking Shakira?! Skills."
