Pierce Brosnan's perfect response after friends 'offered surgery' to reduce his wife's weight

Pierce Brosnan has revealed friends once offered his wife Keely Shаye Smith weight loss surgery

The Mamma Mia actor and award-winning journalist and filmmaker first met in 1994 and went on to get married in 2001.

They have two children together and also brought up Pierce's three children who he shared with his first wife, Cassandra Harris - who passed away from cancer in 1991.

Decades later, the couple are still going strong and the actor regularly shares both old and new pictures of them on social media.

However, after sharing a picture on their 2022 anniversary from their wedding day, the pair received some spiteful comments.

Trolls lashed out in a since-deleted Facebook post, making cruel comments about Keely gaining weight.

Pierce was quick to hit back against the nasty remarks, and revealed that sadly it's not just online trolls who have made comments.

Addressing the body-shamers, the now-71-year-old wrote: “Friends offered her surgery to reduce her weight. But I strongly love every curve of her body.

"She is the most beautiful woman in my eyes. And also because she had our five children.

"In the past, I truly loved her for her person, not only for her beauty, and now I’m loving her even more that she is my children’s mother.

"And I am very proud of her, and I always seek to be worthy of her love.”

Elsewhere in the anniversary posts, the couple expressed their adoration for each other, with Pierce writing: "Happy Anniversary my love @keelyshayebrosnan. We danced that night and still dance the dance today. I could do it all again.”

Keely added: "Happy Anniversary my love @piercebrosnanofficial."

Commenters shared their best wishes, with one writing: “Congratulations, you two! Way to set an example!”

Another said: “Wishing you a wonderful anniversary! So proud of you both, may your marriage continue to bring joy to us all.”

“Happy Anniversary my friends! You both look as in love today as you did then,” added a third.

The James Bond star regularly shares wholesome posts with his followers.

The pair have since gone on to celebrate their 23rd wedding anniversary, Brosnan similarly sharing multiple images of the pair in a post to his Instagram.

The touching post reads: "Happy 23rd anniversary my darling Keely my beautiful brown eyed girl, my north, my south, my east and west. All my love, should I fall behind wait for me."
