Pete Davidson unveils results of his major tattoo removal as he makes surprise return to Saturday Night Live

Pete Davidson's tattoo count has decreased in recent years

Pete Davidson made a surprise return to Saturday Night Live over the weekend, where he unveiled the results of his major tattoo removal.

Last month, Davidson surprised many of his followers as he stepped out with friend Machine Gun Kelly for an event at The Room at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.

A snap from the public appearance showed the results of Davidson's tattoo removal treatment, with a tee revealing his bare forearms.

Previously, Davidson had dozens of tattoos in black in plastered up and down both arms, but they are no longer present.

Davidson returned to SNL on Saturday (2 November) for a musical skit alongside host John Mulaney.

The comedian and actor was a regular on Saturday Night Live between 2014 and 2022, but made a surprise appearance on the most recent show.

Mulaney starred in a bunch of sketches throughout the night, including one that featured a cameo from Davidson.

One of the them, titled 'Port Authority Duane Reade', saw the TV host and Andrew Dismukes shopping at a Duane Reade store.

Davidson appears in the comedy skit wearing a white Rodney Dangerfield t-shirt, with the actor's arms visible.

While some ink was very faded, some previous tattoos could no longer be seen.

It was quite the contrast considering he had over 100 tattoos at one stage.

Davidson has spoken in the past about wanting to have some of his tattoos removed, revealing he had already began the process during an interview with Seth Meyers on Late Night with Seth Meyers in May 2021.

Speaking of the treatment process, Davidson said: "It takes, like, three hours — you have to get there, like, three hours earlier — to cover all your tattoos.

"For some reason, people in movies, they don’t have them that much."

Davidson provided an update on the tattoo removal process to People Magazine in July 2021, stating he wanted the treatment to be over by the time he was 30.

"They said by the time I’m 30, they should all be gone. So they got like two more years left of this," the actor said.

The former Saturday Night Live regular turned 30 last year, and his recent public appearances certainly suggest the treatment has been successful.
