Kristen Stewart has revealed there is one line she outright refused to say in Twilight.

The romantic vampire fantasy film series based on the novels by Stephanie Meyer first graced our screens in 2008, starring Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Stewart.

While all five Twilight movies gave us some classic one-liners and cinematic moments to fuel a generation of memes and gifs, there was apparently one thing Stewart found far too cringe in the script to actually say.

Speaking on the 'Not Skinny But Not Fat' podcast, the 35-year-old Californian actress, who played Bella Swan in the saga, said there are 'some idiosyncratic weird' terms in the novels that made it into the film series.

This includes Pattison's iconic line as his character Edward Cullen says to Bella: "You better hold on tight, spider monkey," before running through the trees at vampire-enhanced speeds.

But 'there was this one that I couldn't deliver at all,' Stewart continued, 'which is so embarrassing because I was so embarrassed'.

"Like the worst, the most embarrassing thing is to look yourself be embarrassed."

Revealing the line that made her squirm, Stewart said she was meant to say something to Lautner, who played the werewolf shape-shifter Jacob Black, 'something about his muscles'.

She continued: "Or something where it was like, 'Hey...' Something like biceps? Biceps. That's what it was, 'Hey biceps'.

"And I think I was like, 'Hey, hi, hi, hi. Oh god,'" the star added, explaining how she couldn't bring herself to say the line.

"Yeah, it's bad."

However, as host Amanda Hirsch pointed out: "Well you didn't have to say, 'Where've you been, Loca?" in reference to another viral quote from Twilight: New Moon, delivered by Lautner to Stewart.

The strange line has become a pop culture meme, even going so far as to appear in merchandise.

However, other fans have been digging up their favorite quotes and moments in the series on Reddit, including when Bella was outraged with Jacob for giving her daughter a nickname 'after the loch ness monster'.

This is 'compounded by the fact that the nickname is the most normal thing to call that child because the actual name is cuckoo banana crackers,' said another, since the pair called their daughter Renesme.

"With insane delivery too," joked a second, while a third said it was 'the best line in the whole series, hands down'.

"I marathoned the entire movie saga while extremely drunk and depressed a few years ago and it was genuinely the hardest I'd laughed in months," a fourth revealed. "Those movies are a gift.

"The scene where Dakota Fanning yeets a vampire baby into a fire convinced my husband to give the movies a try."

Another comment read: "I was so thankful to my ex girlfriend for putting me on to the Twilight series. It is comedy gold. I never cracked up so hard at the first one and when I heard the iconic 'loca' line."
