Fans stunned after noticing John Krasinski’s comment to Emily Blunt at the Golden Globes

John Krasinski has sparked an avalanche of speculation online after a comment aside to Emily Blunt was caught on camera.

The pair, who have been married since 2010, took to the red carpet for the Golden Globes on January 7 - with many viewers praising the pair as 'couple goals'.

Blunt and Krasinski both posed for photos together before The Office star bowed to her and moved away slightly.

But it is another moment which now caught the attention of fans after a seemingly small interaction was captured on camera and posted to TikTok by CBS. Here's the moment here:

While standing outside, the couple were stood close together and Krasinski could be seen saying something to Blunt.

It's not entirely clear exactly what the Quiet Place star said - but many people were horrified when they became convinced that it was 'I can't wait to divorce'.

And some were absolutely devastated at the implications if it was such a comment.

One wrote: "I’ve watched this 500 times trying to convince myself he said something other than divorce."

A second posted: "How many times did I replay this to try and understand what he said!!

"Please don’t break my heart you two."

And a third said: "i can't wait to divorce" WHAT??????"

But others were less convinced that he'd said 'divorce', and believed that even if he had said that, then maybe it had been intended in a different way.

One wrote: "It kinda does look like he’s saying it as a joke, Emily says something first so maybe he was just joking back."

Another person claimed that Blunt appeared to say 'mean' after Krasinski said the sentence, suggesting that it may have been a joke.

Someone else thought it was a moment of reassurance, writing: "I think he’s uncomfortable and doesn’t wanna be there or sees someone and she says it’s okay like to calm him."

Some viewers thought that he may have been saying something like 'I can't wait to get indoors', or even 'I can't wait for the awards'.

Others even speculated it was something a bit different, claiming that Krasinski had actually been saying 'I can't wait to get through this'.

While another person said that because the audio was so quiet, they could hear more or less whatever they wanted.

They wrote: "It's like that auditory puzzle thing. I can hear either depending on what I'm trying to hear."
