Dwayne Johnson has responded to those allegations about his unusual (and gross) habit.

Johnson made headlines earlier this year after The Wrap released a report about the wrestler-turned-actor regarding his new movie Red One, which recently hit cinemas.

The movie was supposed to be released in 2023, but it had to be pushed back to November 2024 - and the report claimed Johnson was part of the issue for the delay.

According to sources who spoke to The Wrap, Johnson would frequently be late to set. He'd sometimes turn up eight hours behind schedule, apparently.

Elsewhere it was said that in a bid to save time, the 52-year-old star would pee in water bottles instead of simply using the toilet as it apparently saved time.

"On set, away from his trailer, if he needs to pee, he doesn’t go to the public bathroom," an unnamed source told the outlet.

Several months on from the report and Johnson had addressed the matter himself.

Speaking to GQ about his apparent unusual urinating habit, he admitted: "Yeah, that happens."

Noting the reports about his tardiness, Johnson continued: "Yeah, that happens too."

He insisted that it wasn't as late as eight hours, however.

"But not that amount, by the way," he added. "That was a bananas amount. That’s crazy. Ridiculous."

Red One director Jake Kasdan also revealed that Johnson would sometimes be late to set while filming the Christmas movie, but insisted the WWE favorite 'never missed a day of work'.

Kasdan told GQ: "He has a lot going on. He can be late sometimes, but such is Hollywood - that’s the case with everybody.

"Honestly, I’ve made three big movies with him. I’ve never seen him be anything but great to every single person on the set."

Elsewhere in his conversation with the magazine, Johnson discussed taking accountability.

He shared: "I’ve said a thousand times: 'Hey, I’m here. Come and ask me. And I’ll tell you the truth.'"

I mean, we're all late for work sometimes. I can't relate to the water bottle habit, however...

Away from Red One, Johnson is currently working on his upcoming movie The Smashing Machine, where he stars as UFC Champion Mark Kerr.

The wrestler looks unrecognizable as Kerr in the film, as seen in a first look shared by entertainment company A24 in May.

An official release date is yet to be confirmed, but the movie is expected to hit cinemas some time next year.
