Drake has become the latest musician to have an inanimate object thrown at him while performing on stage - this time though, it’s a vape.

Earlier this summer, Bebe Rexha was hit in the face by a fan who purposefully threw their phone on stage while she was mid-song. Elsewhere, in a very bizarre moment, an attendee of a P!nk concert decided to fling their mother’s ashes on stage with the star.

However, 36-year-old rapper Drake - real name Aubrey Drake Graham - may be the first to have a vape thrown at him.

While performing at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, a fan decided to fling an electronic cigarette at the star, which caught his attention.

In a viral video posted to TikTok, Drake could be seen pausing the show to call out the anonymous attendee.

He said: “Did you through a vape up here? Come on, hey.”

The rapper then queried again for whoever threw the electronic cigarette on stage to own up to their crime before making a joke.

Drake said: “Who threw the vape? There’s no way you’re taking life serious if you think I’m going to pick this vape and vape with you at the f****** Barclays Centre."

Drake called out the audience member in front of 19,000 fans.

In the video, the crowd could be heard cheering before the 36-year-old launched into his next cheeky attack.

He said that the perpetrator had some ‘real life evaluating to do’ before he picked up the vape.

“Throwing this f****** lemon mint vape up here thinking I’m about to vape with you at the Barclays.”

Since the video was posted yesterday by the official Barclays Centre account, it has wracked up a staggering three million views and over 3000 comments.

TikTok users have been debating the incident in the comments section, with many questioning their addiction to vaping now that the rapper has indirectly called them out.

Fans were quick to comment on their own vape use in the comments section of the video.

One said: “I will never do it again after this TikTok.”

A second wrote: “I quit from this day forward.”

However, Drake superfans have been quick to point out that Drizzy has previously referenced vaping in one of his songs.

On his 2022 track, Jumbotron S*** Poppin, one platform user pointed out that he sings the lyrics: “She vaping in my room that **** glow up like a glow lamp.

One TikTok user commented: “So I'm not the only one who thought of this.”

However, another has pointed out that, although the 36-year-old sang the lyrics, he wasn’t talking about himself vaping.

They said: ‘She’ that’s why he don’t take HER serious and is just a pipe up ting.”
