Growing up in the spotlight is never easy, especially for a mega-star like Billie Eilish.

The Grammy award winner has revealed she’s finally learning to move on and no longer settling for ‘less than she deserves’ - having first topped the charts at just 15.

In her new tell-all interview, the ‘Bad Guy’ singer also revealed how she’d struggled with her mental health while at the height of her fame.

Appearing in Allure magazine, the now-21-year-old reflected on how she’d wanted to hide away whilst at her lowest.

"I'm starting to do better, but I've not been doing so great, to be honest. For a while. I have impending-doom feelings most of the day,” she told the publication.

The ‘Ocean Eyes’ singer then said: “When I think too much about it, how I can never have privacy again, it's enough to make you want to do all sorts of crazy things. But you have to let it go."

During the heartbreaking interview, the ‘Happier Than Ever’ musician explained how she was feeling anxious on the road in Paris when she first felt inspired to make a change.

"It was not a good time for ol' Bill. I was not getting better, and didn't know when I would. And this motorcycle pulled up next to the car, and this guy's helmet had a sticker on it that said in all caps, 'Move on',” she recalled.

Upon seeing this, Eilish realised that she had ‘a really big problem with control’ and had to teach herself what was with her control and ‘move on’.

Though she’s in a better place now, the chart-topper has had to re-evaluate her life - both professionally and personally.

The singer acknowledged that she was in a better place now.

"I have settled many times with things and people and life. I've settled for less than I deserved, and I'm not going to do that anymore,” she told Allure.

In fact, the singer has now committed to prioritising herself as she gets older, with lyrics about this heavily featuring on her latest album, Happier than Ever.

Eilish added: “So I’m doing it now. And I’ve made enough people feel good that I deserve to feel good too.”

Despite this, the ‘Lovely’ hitmaker still lets herself feel her emotions deeply and admitted that she’d been touched by how fans reacted to ‘What was I made’.

Featured on the Barbie soundtrack, the song became a viral sensation, with women sharing their heartbreaking experiences on TikTok whilst the ballad played.

Speaking about this for the first time, she said: “The way the song has been heard and seen by women is so special to me.”
