Amanda Bynes has spent most of her life in the limelight, and fans have grown increasingly concerned about what goes on behind closed doors, and how she's doing now.

The 39-year-old shot to fame as a child actor in the late 1990s, starring on Nickelodeon's shows All That and The Amanda Show.

However, growing up famous clearly took its toll on the young actor, as she's been candid about her mental health struggles and issues with substance abuse, which prompted her mom to put her under a legal conservatorship in 2013, similarly to Britney Spears, for almost a decade.

The She's The Man actress broke free of the conservatorship in March 2022 and it hasn't exactly been plain sailing for her.

Now, Bynes has been forced to put the record straight on a swirling allegation concerning Nickelodeon producer Dan Schneider.

Schneider was the subject of a number of allegations in a 2024 Investigation Discovery series Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV, in which cast and crew accused the producer of sexism, racism and inappropriate behavior with young members in the late 90s and early 00s.

While the producer has since apologized for his behavior, Bynes has also been compelled to weigh in on the situation after a viral video claimed Bynes had accused Schneider of assaulting and impregnating her when she was just 13.

The actress told TMZ that someone has far too much time on their hands to piece together clips from her social media to make up 'lies for clickbait'.

Her comments come as fans have been left concerned about what life is like now for the star since becoming liberated from the legal conservatorship.

Fortunately, it appears Bynes has turned her life around, with a new career, venture and hobbies.

In April this year, she announced she had joined OnlyFans, but would not be using it for NSFW purposes, unlike many others on the adult platform.

"I'm doing OnlyFans to chat with my fans through dm's. I won't be posting any sleazy content. Excited to join," Bynes said at the time on her Instagram Story.

Meanwhile, the California-born star has picked up a new creative hobby, apparently finding a passion in painting and hosting art shows.

Last year, she hosted an exhibition with Austin Babbitt, an American fashion designer and artist, in Los Angeles.

Bynes has also been proudly showing off her own art works, recently sharing some of the pieces she's made on Instagram ahead of her planned art show next year - and glimpses of her new beau, Zachary.

Fans have since been rejoicing at her apparent 'comeback', writing on social media that they are thrilled to 'see her happy'.

"Good to see her doing things that she enjoys. Tragic that she couldn't do it her whole childhood," said one on Reddit.

A second echoed: "Truly, child stardom is not something I would wish on my worst enemy."

A third also added: "She seems really inspired lately and I’m so freaking happy for her."

As for Schneider, a judge ruled last year that he can file a defamation suit against Warner Bros. Discovery and the producers of Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV.
