Mark Wahlberg has changed part of his horrific daily routine after realising it's 'not good'

The Ted star's infamous daily routine goes viral all the time because of how brutal it is.

Mark Wahlberg’s daily workout routine goes viral all the time because of how brutal it is.

However, the Hollywood star and fitness fanatic, who turned 52 on Monday (June 5), changed one part of it for a specific reason.

In case you haven’t seen the Transformers star’s workout routine (and if you haven’t, seriously, where have you been?) is not an easy ride at all.

The father-of-four originally posted his unorthodox routine in 2018 and revealed that he would wake up at 2:30am, eat breakfast at 3:15 a.m. and do his first workout of the day between 3:40 a.m and 5:15 a.m.

You can see the full schedule below.

Mark Wahlberg's old daily routine is always going viral.

· 2:30 a.m — Wake up

· 2:45 a.m. — Prayer time

· 3:15 a.m. — Breakfast

· 3:40-5:15 a.m. — Workout

· 5:30 a.m. — Post-workout meal

· 6 a.m. — Shower

· 7:30 a.m. — Golf

· 8 a.m. — Snack

· 9:30 a.m. — Cryo chamber recovery

· 10:30 a.m. — Snack

· 11 a.m. — Family time, meetings, and work calls

· 1 p.m. — Lunch

· 2 p.m. — Meetings and work calls

· 3 p.m. — Pick up kids from school

· 3:30 p.m. — Snack

· 4 p.m. — Second workout

· 5 p.m. — Shower

· 5:30 p.m. — Dinner and family time

· 7:30 p.m. — Bedtime

He also scheduled in time for prayers, ‘family time’, picking up his children from school and a well-deserved afternoon snack.

Wahlberg would then go to bed at 7:30 p.m. each night in preparation for his very, very early start the next day.

In 2022, the actor was asked about his viral daily routine in an interview with Barstool Sport's Pardon My Take to promote his film, Me Time.

Mark Wahlberg confirmed in 2022 that he had changed part of his daily routine.

When quizzed about how he feels each time it goes viral, Wahlberg said: “That was – if I go to bed tonight at 6:30 p.m. I’ll wake up at 2:30 a.m. – I get eight hours of sleep, always. But that was when I was doing something very specific when I was training and I realised all that stuff is not good.”

He confirmed last year that he had changed his schedule up a bit.

In November 2022, the Ted actor said he now gives himself some more time in bed in the mornings.

But we must warn you, it’s a Wahlberg-style lie-in and he still starts his day at the crack of dawn.

Speaking to The Wall Street Journal, the Uncharted star said he now allows himself to sleep until 3:30am or even 4 a.m.

His current routine as of November 2022 includes:

  • 3:30-4 a.m. — Wake up, prayers and vitamins (turmeric, vitamin C, vitamin D), workout
  • 12-6 p.m. — Eating window
  • 7:30 p.m. — Bedtime

"I always start with a little bit of prayer time. And then take my vitamins," he told the publication. "I used to eat breakfast. Now I'm all about intermittent fasting.

"I don't eat; I just go work out."

He went on to say that he doesn't have to do 'as much cardio' and spend as much time in the gym, adding: "I feel like I’m getting better results.

“I’m trying to share that information with everybody because I’m really, really seeing the benefits and pretty quickly.”
