Latto has responded to the claims that she photoshopped her Coachella crowd to make it look bigger in her latest social media posts.

The rapper took to the stage over the weekend (16 April) as part of the Sunday lineup of the famed festival’s first weekend.

However, it's clear that the 'Big Energy' star has caused waves online after uploading what appears to be a photoshopped snap of her adoring fans watching her on stage.

It all started when Latto posted a series of four photos to Twitter - one of which showed the rapper standing in front of the crowd with outstretched arms.

However, upon zooming in, eagle-eyed fans began to speculate whether the image posted by the 24-year-old star was doctored or actually authentic.

The tweet has since gone viral and racked up 23.8 million views since it was posted, and the Grammy-nominated rapper came under fire instantly, with thousands flocking to say the whole ordeal was 'embarrassing'.

One Twitter user said: "This is mad embarrassing."

"The way it’s obvious too even without zooming in," wrote a second.

A third chimed in with: "That’s very embarrassing. The internet catches everything."

It sure does.

However, Latto has since decided to respond to the avalanche of claims and took to Instagram yesterday (18 April) to hit back at the swathes of people accusing her of photoshopping the post.

She uploaded a screenshot of the snap and penned: "Never photoshopped a crowd lmao."

The 'Lottery' star went on to explain why the photo looked somewhat warped and maintained that it had nothing to do with a botched editing job.

"I expanded it so it would fit in my Instagram swipe without getting cut off but it was clearly f***ed up so I didn't end up using it & just posted the wrong version by accident on Twitter babes," she added.

Latto concluded her official statement on the matter in true Latto style with a smiling heart face emoji and 'next'.

And the rapper hasn't stopped there.

The following day (19 April), Latto uploaded even more proof of the heaving crowd to Twitter to further back up her statement.

She posted footage from the Coachella performance itself which, to be fair, shows a huge audience all buzzing to the rapper's set.

Latto captioned the video: "Haters will say it’s photoshopped :/."

Well, it's clear that this year's Coachella festival is shaping up to be a pretty drama-filled one and it's only been the first weekend.

Wonder what's to come for weekend two...
