Kim Kardashian’s nine-year-old daughter North held up a sign that read ‘stop’ at the Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture show on Wednesday, 7 July.
Now, Kim has explained what was going through her daughter's head.
Kim and North sat next to each other on the show’s front row and in a short clip posted on the Keeping Up With The Kardashian star’s Instagram, her eldest child seemingly stared down the person filming her while clasping the sign.

Taking to Instagram, Kim said North had scrawled the word on the back of her fashion show invite and lifted it into the air because she’d ‘had it with people taking photos of her’.
Kim wrote on Instagram: “For anyone who knows North knows how funny she finds the last slide! North I guess had it with the people taking pictures of her so she wrote on her invite STOP and held it up and wanted them to just focus on the show.”
The pair have taken haute couture week in Paris by storm in recent days, and it’s not the first time North has questioned people’s fascination with her.
In another clip captured this week, North and her mum were seen walking towards their car in the City of Lights when North asked waiting paparazzi: “Why do you have to wait for us all the time?”
One of the photographers was heard replying, “Because you're so famous, we love you!" as North headed straight into the car, while the Kardashians’ cousin, Cici Bussey, and Kim followed her seconds later.
Fans were quick to express their concern over the video, with many discussing North’s apparent discomfort with the photographers’ presence and the difficulties of growing up in the spotlight.
One wrote: "Lights and flashes all the time!! Sounds to me like they are sick of it".
"... It’s too much… it’s already hard enough to be a child of famous people. Photographing children without their parents/consent is weird,” another commented.
A third echoed: "North West is tired of the paparazzi."
"This must be crazy n weird for lil kids growing up. Can't even get some space," remarked another fan.
In a viral video posted back in 2015, North, a then-toddler, was once again caught on camera expressing her discomfort at the swarms of photographers waiting to catch a glimpse of her famous mum, shouting ‘no pictures!’ at a group of paparazzi.
