A coroner's report has finally revealed what caused the death of Aaron Carter.
The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner conducted an investigation into the singer's final moments after he was found dead in November last year.
Carter found fame in the 1990s and was the younger brother of Backstreet Boys star Nick.

At the time of his tragic passing, a representative for the 34-year-old told PA: "Right now it's a really bad time we're trying to figure out what happened and what the cause of it was.
"We're just as upset as everyone and hope that fans can give thoughts and prayers to his family."
We now finally have some answers about what happened.

The medical examiner said in a statement: "The cause of death for 34-year-old singer Aaron Charles Carter as drowning due to the effects of difluoroethane (aerosol propellant found in spray cans) and alprazolam (commonly referred to as Xanax)."
They said he was found 'submerged in the bathtub at his residence, located in Lancaster, by his reported housekeeper'.
The housekeeper called 911 and was told by authorities to start doing CPR until paramedics arrived.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.

"After the scene investigation, Mr. Carter’s body was transported to the department's Forensic Science Center for examination," the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner said.
"On November 6, 2022, the deputy medical examiner completed a full autopsy on Mr. Carter.
"Following the completion and receipt of relevant test results, the cause of death was certified on April 14. The manner of death was certified as accident."

The rapper, singer and actor first started performing at seven years old and released his first album when he was nine, selling a million copies worldwide.
His second album, Aaron's Party (Come Get It), went 3x platinum after selling three million copies in the US alone. It featured the hit singles 'I Want Candy', 'Aaron's Party (Come Get It)', 'That's How I Beat Shaq' and 'Bounce'.
Carter followed it up with his next album a year later, Oh Aaron, which also went platinum. The album included his first ever duet recording with his brother Nick.
He went on to appear on Nickelodeon and tour with the Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears, including a famous appearance on Lizzie McGuire, before taking a break from releasing studio albums for 16 years.

The singer made his Broadway debut in musical Seussical, which paid homage to the works of Dr Seuss.
His death has left fans shocked and heartbroken, with many paying tribute to the star who had a significant impact on pre-teen and teenage culture in the early 21st century.
