Anne Hathaway’s fans have come to her defence after a video purported to show her ignoring Priyanka Chopra Jonas while greeting Zendaya at Bulgari’s fashion event in Italy this week.
The Devil Wears Prada star arrived at the Palazzo Ducale in Venice, Italy on Tuesday (May 16) with Zendaya and Chopra Jonas for the launch of Bulgari’s new jewellery collection.
The three Bulgari ambassadors posed for pictures together while wearing stunning Bulgari necklaces.
A video shared by Harper’s Bazaar France on TikTok shows Hathaway walking in front of photographers to greet the Dune star while Chopra Jonas watches and smiles.

The Quantico actor, who is standing next to Zendaya, appears to greet both women before the trio pose for pictures together alongside Bulgari CEO Jean-Christophe Babin.
Despite the overall good vibes in the short clip, some viewers assumed the Princess Diaries star had snubbed Chopra Jonas to speak with Zendaya at the event.
“Why didn’t she greet Priyanka lol,” one TikTok user commented.
“Priyanka waited for her hug,” another person wrote in the comments, while a third said: “Why didn’t she greet Priyanka lol.”
Many users in the comments explained the situation and commented that Zendaya arrived later than the other two and Hathaway had already said hello to the Citadel actress earlier in the evening.
“Guys. Priyanka Chopra and Anne Hathaway already greeted each other earlier,” one TikTok user commented. “Please don’t throw hate towards Anne Hathaway.”
A second social media user added: “There’s another post of the three of them. They all look fine," while a third wrote: “She didn’t ignore her. Zendaya arrived later than they did.”
Earlier this month, Chopra Jonas revealed that her husband, Nick Jonas, watched her win the Miss World beauty pageant years before they met.
The Bollywood star won the Miss World beauty pageant in 2000 when she was 18-years-old, and her now-husband was only seven years old.
