Man turns his eye into a flashlight after losing it to cancer

A man who lost his eye decided to turn his artificial replacement into a flashlight and it looks so cool.

A man who lost an eye to cancer responded in the most incredible way by turning his artificial replacement into a flashlight.

Losing an eye can be a big loss, but one man turned his loss into an opportunity to become a technological marvel by refashioning his prosthetic eye into a handy gadget.

Installing a flashlight into the eye, he revealed how he was able to get some use out of the eye he lost to cancer.

Posting his amazing invention in a video, he revealed how cool it looks to have an eye glowing with light and showed everyone how handy it is in the dark.

Showing footage of the eye-light on while the room lights were on and off revealed exactly how handy such a gizmo could be, with him noting it was useful for reading at night.

The light is bright enough to illuminate a dark room, and being handily built into the eye socket means the bridge of your nose will avoid dazzling the other eye.

This is all fine so long as he doesn't go 'Terminator' on us.

Even more incredibly, all the technology needed to turn his eye into a glowing light can all be contained within his prosthetic eye.

Preferring to call it his 'Titanium Skull Lamp', he revealed he can get 20 hours worth of light out of one battery and fortunately it doesn't get hot.

That's a pretty handy feature considering it's implanted inside his head, if it got as hot as some other lights do it'd be unwearable and unbearable.

Luckily this innovative inventor has been hard at work making his glowing eye into something people could actually use comfortably.

He also revealed that at the moment he's only working with about half the actual power he could put into the thing, because a 'safety first' approach is handy on objects you're inserting into your own skull.

The guy manages to get a decent amount of illumination out of his flashlight eye.

People were absolutely amazed by his gadgeteering genius, with some people who'd lost eyes of their own wondering if they could get something similar done.

One person described it as a 'very cool option' and another praised the inventor's attitude towards losing an eye.

They did admit they'd 's**t myself if this dude walked down my street', but then anyone who's seen Terminator knows to stay away from the guy with the glowing eye.

Others pointed out that he now looked like a number of fictional characters with robotic eyes and thought he looked like a mixture of scary and cool.
