Unsettling footage shown to Congress of mysterious orb being shot by US Hellfire missile and ‘bouncing right off’

An investigative journalist claimed there was a 'bank' of similar footage out there that Congress had yet to see

Footage capturing what appears to be a US ‘missile being launched’ at a mysterious orb in Yemen was shown during a Congressional hearing on ‘unidentified anomalous phenomena’ earlier this week.

On Tuesday (September 9), politicians in the United States heard from various witnesses, including military veterans Jeffery Nuccetelli and Dylan Bordland, who claimed to have witnessed unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) with their own eyes.

The congressional meeting, titled ‘Restoring Public Trust Through UAP Transparency and Whistleblower Protection,’ saw Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets Chairwoman Anna Paulina Luna claiming that there had been a ‘lack of transparency’ from the federal government and intelligence communities on the research and disclosure of unidentified flying objects (UFOs).

"We cannot maintain trust in government if we keep American people in the dark,” she explained.

When George Knapp, a UAP journalist, took the stand, a clip that appeared to show ‘missile being launched’ at an orb in Yemen was seen for the first time.

The chief reporter of an investigation unit at KLAS-TV was asked by Congressman Eric Burlison, a Missouri Republican, to describe what he saw in the October 30, 2024 video.

As per BBC News, he replied: “That's a Hellfire missile smacking into that UFO, and bouncing right off - and it kept going.”

Knapp added that the bizarre footage was just one of a ‘whole bank’ of UAP videos that ‘Congress has not been allowed to see’.

After watching the video, Luna asked the other witnesses whether the video ‘frightened’ them, to which Nuccetelli, Borland, and Navy member Alexandro Wiggins replied in the affirmative.

Two of the three testifiers - Nucetelli and Wiggins - also claimed to the House Oversight subcommittee that no US technology would be capable of surviving such a strike, as per Fox News.

While on the witness stand, Knapp testified that he’d obtained documents that showed how an incident involving UFOs almost caused Russia to launch intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) at the United States.

He alleged the event took place in October 1982 before remarking on how UAPs and UFOs can perform ‘incredible maneuvers’.

“They split apart, they fuse back together, they'd appear and disappear. And right at the end of this four-hour period, the launch control codes for the ICBMs lit up. Something entered the correct codes. The missiles were fired up and ready to launch, and they could not shut it down.”

Knapp said that Russia was just ‘a couple of seconds away from World War III starting’, adding that UFOs were responsible for it, according to Fox News.

When asked by Congressman Nick Begich, a Republican from Alaska, about the ‘long game’ of this topic, Knapp added that the ‘secret was out’ on UFOs.

"The public senses that it's real and the people in authority dismiss them," he claimed.

The author added that there was a ‘sense’ from those in authority that the public can't handle the truth, even though he believes they could.

According to NASA, the space agency is yet to find any credible evidence that UAP have an extraterrestrial origin.

Moreover, there has yet to be any discovery of life on any other planet, nor have researchers seen any scientifically supported evidence for extraterrestrial life.
