One reviewer who recently handed back their old tech has written a positive review about their experience.

“I got this after I staring having issues with my previous Fire TV Stick 4K Max. That device would freeze and sometime just stop responding (maybe planned obsolescence ?) making it very frustrating to use,” they began.

“I can say this new stick is much more responsive than the device it was replacing. I have a WiFie router in the same room so I do not get any buffering.”

They went on to say that the new instrument ‘responds well to voice commands’ and concluded it was a ‘great purchase’.

“I was able to use my old device as a trade-in, so got both a trade-in value for the old device and got a 20% discount on this new stick,” they gushed.

Earlier this month, the retailer announced it was blocking Fire Stick apps that allow users to illegally stream shows like Stranger Things and Apple TV’s Pluribus, as well as sports like Premier League football.

To stop fraudsters in their tracks, a device-level ban of piracy apps will go ahead, according to a report by Tech Radar.

“Piracy is illegal and we’ve always worked to block it from our app store... We’ll now block apps identified as providing access to pirated content, including those downloaded from outside our app store,” a representative told The Atlantic.

“This builds on our ongoing efforts to support creators and protect customers, as piracy can also expose users to malware, viruses and fraud.”

This will put an end to all ‘dodgy’ Amazon Fire TV Sticks and will stop people from using VPNs to skirt around country settings, according to the publication.
