Ever wondered what it's like to be a speech therapist for children? Well, wonder no more, as one TikToker has spilled all.

TikToker and pediatric speech therapist Molly Jo aka @meirinbe has released a series of videos showing everyone exactly what sorts of things her job entails.

One of her videos showing how she teaches kids to sound out Pinocchio and has gained over 23 million views, with her account providing incredible insight on how children learn to speak.

Molly has created a range of videos including showing parents ways they can teach their kids certain sounds at home, as well as posting about what it takes to become a child speech therapist, which for her was six years worth of college education in the US.

The TikToker seems to absolutely love her job and has posted about how she wouldn't change it for the world, which isn't surprising as it must be so rewarding to help children find their voice for the first time.

There are also some very interesting things in the videos for those who are generally curious, such as why she wears a mask which allows people to see her mouth moving while she speaks.

Speech therapy for children is going to be more and more important in a post-pandemic world according to The Guardian, as an increasing number of toddlers have grown up with very limited social interactions in their early years.

Parents are growing more concerned about the impact the pandemic has had on their children as around half are worried about their kid's social skills and a quarter think their child's language abilities have been hampered.

Many children have spent two of their most formative years largely kept away from others and thus missed out on all the learning and development they would have got from a myriad of social interactions.
