Woman with 99% of her body tattooed says she has ‘limited employment options’

She says her tats have made it hard for her to find work

Aussie model Amber Luke has said her appearance has made it hard to find work, after she's tattooed 99 percent of her body.

The model, who is nicknamed 'Dragon Girl', admitted her tats have held her back and limited where she can work.

Luke discussed her 'limited employment options' while being interviewed on Brisbane radio show 'Robin, Terry, and Kip'.

Speaking frankly, she said: "I'm not going to sugar coat it, it has limited my [employment] options."

While she might not find work easily, the inked model doesn't regret any of her tattoos. She added: "The way I see it is, I don't want to work for a company that's shallow-minded [and can't] look past my image. They won't look at my work ethic, they won't look at my morals or my values or what I have to bring to the table."

Luke's tattoos don't just extend to her skin but include her various body modifications, even on her eyeballs. Tattooing her eyeballs blue reportedly left the model incapable of being independent and she even began to cry bright blue tears.

And it's no cheap feat, with the model having reportedly forked out upwards of $25,000 on the inkings that cover her from head to toe.

Her striking appearance isn't to everyone's taste, but Luke has made it clear that she doesn't care for criticism of her unique image. Speaking to the trio of radio presenters, she explained that 'everyone has their own opinions of what beauty is'.

"You see these cultures [where people] stretch their necks, their ears, their lips. But at the end of the day, we all are entitled to our opinion and that's okay. But, what gets to me is when someone expresses their opinion to me in public and comes up to me and says, 'Oh, you're ugly', or, 'You've ruined yourself'.

"It's very distressing to know that people have that strong opinion and they can just voice it without any repercussions."

Luke went on to explain that she's not harming anyone else with her tattoos or piercings, so it really shouldn't be their business.

The star has previously received pleas from Instagram fans begging her to stop, with the influencer claiming the hefty price tag for all her body mods has been 'worth it' because she's now 'seen how resilient she is' after putting her body through such extreme stress.

Tattooing her eyeballs was reportedly one of the biggest stints in the tattoo chair she's done, and after the experience Luke chose to commemorate the experience by getting another tattoo. She opted for a detailed image of a woman crying blue tears on her chest.

She's reportedly spent $25,000 on her tattoos.

Although she claims the eyeball experience almost made her swear off body modifications altogether, she's not lost her love of changing her image.

Since the experience, she’s gone back under the knife and spent $70,000 on breast implants, cheek and lip fillers, pointed implants placed in her ears and a Brazilian butt lift.
