Marvel CEO Kevin Feige has two people from MCU he will never work with again

He revealed the two people he won't work with on Marvel

Marvel CEO Kevin Feige has revealed two people that he won't work with the in the MCU.

In fairness, this is one universe which has a lot of actors in it, and we do mean a lot.

It's fair that there may be disputes in movies such as these, but there are two people that he simply will not work with again.

It comes as a new book is released which gives a sneak peek behind the scenes of the biggest movie series in recent years.

But who exactly is it that he won't work with?

Well, cast your memory far back into MCU, to the very very early years before the idea of an MCU was more than a twinkle in Stan Lee's eye.

That's right, it's the original Incredible Hulk, Edward Norton.

Feige wrote: “We have made the decision to not bring Ed Norton back to portray the title role of Bruce Banner in the Avengers.

“Our decision is definitely not one based on monetary factors, but instead rooted in the need for an actor who embodies the creativity and collaborative spirit of our other talented cast members.”

Norton was not recast as the Hulk in later Marvel films, including The Avengers films.

In the later films he was played by Mark Ruffalo, who has gone on to represent the character in the many, many crossover films.

But what about the other person who he would never work with again?

Well, this is not so much a member of the cast as a director.

And not just any director either, but the director of the first Avengers film from way back in 2012 - yikes, has it really been that long?

That's right, Joss Whedon is among the people that Kevin Feige has said that he will never work with again on the MCU.

The revelations have come out in a new book.

The franchise came to a head back in 2019 with the release of Avengers: Endgame - I can't believe it's been four years either. This saw the conclusion of the Thanos storyline which was first teased back in 2012's Avengers.

But why won't Feige work with Whedon again?

Well, it appears to come not from the main movies, but from the spin-off TV show, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

The book appears to theorise that Feige wasn't happy with how Whedon 'interfered' with the main MCU through Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

This was because the existence of S.H.I.E.L.D. in the TV show made things more complicated in the MCU, as the organisation was canonically destroyed in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
