It is not clear exactly what the circumstances were which led to the man's untimely death, and police have opened an investigation into the incident.

He was discovered wearing parachuting gear on the residence's lawn.

Now, a chilling image has emerged which appears to capture the skydiver's tragic final moments during his ill-fated descent.

Security footage of the driveway where the man was found has the camera trained on a large black SUV parked in the driveway.

The car's rear window has been tinted black, making it highly reflective.

In the reflection you can clearly see the skydiver making his way towards the ground.

It's clear from the reflected image that the man did manage to open his parachute before hitting the ground, and the parachute appears to be fully open.

Homeowner James Sconiers told WKMG that he had approached the man and asked repeatedly if he could hear him, but got no response.

Vietnam veteran Sconiers said: "Look at the video and look at what happened. Why did he fall so hard if all the safety mechanisms in place? Something tells me there's a problem there."

The police have opened an investigation into the incident, and no further information has been released at present.

Nonetheless, Sconiers is adamant that the community needs answers.
