People left seriously confused after Candace Owens seemingly claims Charlie Kirk was a time traveler

Was Charlie Kirk a time-traveler? What is reality, actually? No, these aren't the thoughts of someone who has just taken a psychedelic, they are both genuine questions that conspiracy theorist Candace Owens is asking her fans.

The right wing influencer, who was close friends with Kirk for years before his death, floated the ideas in a sprawling rant on Wednesday (January 14) where she continued to speculate about who had been behind the killing of the 31-year-old Turning Points USA founder.

Kirk was shot dead while speaking at a packed Utah Valley University event in September, which sparked a massive manhunt for the shooter after they managed to escape the campus. Ultimately, suspected killer Tyler Robinson was arrested after his parents convinced the 22-year-old to hand himself in.

But according to Owens, private messages between her and Kirk that she has shared with her audience show that there is much more to the story of her friend's assassination. Including, apparently, agents like those in the film The Matrix.

In her rambling rant about the true reason why Kirk was shot, Owens makes repeated references to how 'they' were trying to control and 'manage' the young Trump ally. She said that she had also been controlled by these 'agents'.

She said without explanation: “They knew something about Charlie, and that's why they had him marked, had him martyred, and had him followed since he was young.”

Apparently, 'they' wanted to 'change an outcome related to Charlie' in the future, but the conspiracy theorist refused to elaborate further on how, or even why, a technologically advanced civilization would invent time travel to kill Kirk.

"For the first time in his life, Charlie starts pushing back in a major way," Owens alleges, in a cryptic reference to some criticisms offered of Israel by Kirk in the months before his death.

Part of her justification was a text from the conservative firebrand where he had joked that he was a time traveler who had been sent to find her.

With the controversial public debater also apparently predicting that he'd die at a Turning Points USA event, Owens is convinced that Kirk knew what was coming. She even claimed that he 'knew he would die young'.

Owens said that she had paid little attention to her friend's supposed claims to being from the future and that he would die young at the time, but had re-examined their meaning in the months since his death - where she has continuously speculated that someone else was behind his killing.

Naturally, her comments about Charlie Kirk being involved in a time travel assassination plot left many viewers confused, with some calling the comments 'schizophrenic'.

One perplexed X user commented: "This is so painful to watch. Scary still, is there people among us that believe this bullsh*t."

Another said: "This woman having an audience is the scariest thing in America right now. People listen to the ramblings of a batshit crazy person, and then adopt it as something to defend. Cooked."
