Donald Trump gave a scathing response to Bad Bunny's Super Bowl halftime show on Sunday, calling the Grammy-winning artist's set 'an affront to the Greatness of America' that 'nobody understands'.

This was a sharp contrast to how many music and media critics responded to the Puerto Rican rapper's mostly Spanish-language show, which the New York Times called 'joyful' and was said to give Rolling Stone the 'chills'.

Despite President Trump's fiery review blasting Bad Bunny and calling the show 'absolutely terrible', his response did at least confirm that the White House did not switch over to watch Kid Rock at Turning Point USA's alternative halftime show.

Though it is perhaps unsurprising that the Latin beats of 'Tití Me Preguntó' made 'no sense' to the 79-year-old, when left-wing firebrand Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was asked what she thought of the president's comments, she pointed out something absolutely brutal about Trump himself.

Walking through the halls of Congress, AOC fired a witty reply when reporter Nicholas Ballasy asked about the president's comments, saying: "I barely know what Trump is saying half the time. So, I feel him."

This wasn't even the 36-year-old's first brutal roast in response to critics of Bad Bunny's performance, with the New York representative of Puerto Rican descent also blasting content creator Jake Paul.

Similar to Trump, Paul appeared to argue that this show of Latin American culture and pride was anti-American, despite Puerto Rico's residents enjoying US citizenship since 2017.

He called on his followers to 'turn off this halftime' and erroneously called Bad Bunny 'a fake American citizen performing who publicly hates America'.

Once again, AOC could not help but point out the rank hypocrisy in Paul's outrage at the Spotify-topping artist headlining the biggest event in the NFL calendar.

"A 'fake American citizen?'" the lawmaker replied incredulously in a now viral post on X.

Gaining over 275,000 likes, she pointed out that Paul had actually previously admitted that he moved to the US territory to take advantage of their tax incentives.

She said: "Didn’t you MOVE to Puerto Rico to avoid paying your taxes while kids across America go hungry? Meanwhile Benito actually funds low income kids’ access to arts and sports programs, while you defund them."

In another brutal put-down, she finished by saying: "Of course you’re mad. He makes you look small."

After being roundly criticized for his comments, including by his brother Logan Paul, the influencer walked back his comments, somewhat, saying: "To clarify: I wasn’t calling anyone a 'fake citizen' because they’re from Puerto Rico.

"I live in Puerto Rico, and I love Puerto Rico. I have used my platform to support Puerto Rico time and time again and will always do so. But if you’re publicly criticizing ICE who are doing their job and openly hating on America, I’m going to speak on it. Period."

Paul argued: "If you benefit from a country and the platform it gives you, but publicly disrespect it at the same time, that’s what I mean by being a fake citizen."

UNILAD has contacted the White House for comment.
