Former Fox producer slams Tucker Carlson and says he made her life ‘a living hell’

Abby Grossberg was Carlson's former producer.

Former Fox News producer, Abby Grossberg, has lashed out at Tucker Carlson for making her life 'a living hell' when she worked on his team.

Grossberg, who is in the midst of a lawsuit against Fox, Carlson, and other executives for promoting a culture that 'subjugates women based on vile sexist stereotypes,' admitted that she had mixed feelings about Carlson's sudden exit this week.

The far-right news anchor, who lured an average of 3.3 million viewers to the network each evening, was abruptly terminated from Fox on Monday (24 April) and appeared to have no idea he was leaving.

Commenting on the news, which came shortly after she filed her lawsuit, Abby Grossberg told MSNBC: "There were a lot of mixed emotions that went through my head.

"There were feelings first of ‘Yes!’ and then also the reality that you don’t want anything bad to happen to anybody.

"But at the same time, Tucker and his executive producer, Justin Wells, who was also fired, really were responsible for breaking me and making my life a living hell.

"So there is a feeling of justice, but it’s only partial."

Abby explained that the only reason she joined Carlson's team in the first place was because she was promoted to the role and she liked the rest of the staff.

"I was hoping that it would be more professional, and that what he was portraying on air was just a show. And unfortunately that wasn't the case."

In her lawsuit, Grossberg claimed that she was 'isolated, overworked, undervalued, denied opportunities for promotion, and generally treated significantly worse than her male counterparts, even when those men were less qualified than her.'

She also mentions that, on her first day she worked on Tucker Carlson Tonight, she found that the office had been decorated with pictures of Democratic House speaker Nancy Pelosi wearing a bathing suit.

A spokesperson for Fox News has said that the network will 'continue to vigorously defend Fox against Ms. Grossberg’s unmeritorious legal claims, which are riddled with false allegations against Fox and our employees.'

Tucker Carlson, though, has not responded publicly to Grossberg's allegations.

Revealing the shocking news of Carlson's immediate departure from the network, Fox issued a statement on Monday that read: “Fox News Media and Tucker Carlson have agreed to part ways. We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor.

"Mr. Carlson’s last program was Friday April 21st. Fox News Tonight will air live at 8pm/ET starting this evening as an interim show helmed by rotating Fox News personalities until a new host is named."

While Tucker appears to have removed Fox from his Twitter bio, he has not yet commented on his termination.
