A solo female traveler has revealed the one place in the world that she would never return to.

Christina Ford, 63, took to TikTok, where she explained which place she'd never go back to, after experiencing something she wasn't expecting while leaving her hotel.

"Do not do it," she warned on TikTok.

Christina - who goes by @insearchofmrdarcy - explained she had been left shocked by a number of different issues during her holiday, explaining: "I was by myself and I went to go and have a drink. It was about 5.30, I was going to watch the sunset.

"First place I went to I sit down - the place was probably about a third full - lots of empty seats. So I said I was just here for a drink before going to meet some friends for dinner.

"They said it was €100 minimum. I said, 'so you're expecting one person to have spent €100 by themselves on drinks?'

"They said 'sorry that's just the rules'."

Christina said she moved on to a second place, which was completely empty except for one couple.

They asked if she had a reservation and if she was by herself, which she responded to by explaining that she was looking for a table for one and would only be staying for around half an hour.

In the end, they said that she needed a reservation, so the woman moved on to another restaurant.

"The fourth place I went to, they took me," she added, explaining that Mykonos was not a place to go if you were travelling by yourself.

"Take it off your list, it's not worth it."

But it wasn't the only issue that Christina had with the Greek island.

"This is how crazy it's gotten," she said.

The traveler explained that while checking out of her hotel, she was left in shock after staff asked if she wanted to leave a tip.

"I get my hotel bill, I'm checking out... hotel costs, taxes on top of that, room service I've had by the pool, [the] tip I've left on top of those.

"I'm putting down my credit card but they leave a little spot and they're waiting for me... sorry you need me to leave a tip on top of tips I've already left, on top of the room tax on top of the room?

"This culture is getting crazy... Has anyone ever been asked to leave a tip on your room cost?

“In all my years of travel, I had never seen anything like this."

TikTok viewers were divided. While some suggested Christina try another island, others agreed they had similar experiences in other areas of Europe.
