Woman who secretly snuck on vacation and had identical twin take her place at work was caught out by one mistake

It seemed like the perfect plan, until the twins were caught red-handed

Being an identical twin must come with plenty of pros and cons.

Sure, it might be annoying when people constantly get your name wrong, but being able to switch places from time to time has to have its benefits.

For TikToker Ari Chance, being able to take a few days off from work while her twin took her place was super handy, especially when she had her holiday request denied from work.

For most of us, having a vacation request rejected simply means we can't have the time off.

But with an identical twin to help her out, Ari allegedly came up with a plan.

Unfortunately for Ari though, one crucial mistake led to her and her twin, Noe, getting caught red-handed.

According to their TikTok video, Noe 'replaced' Ari at work whilst she was on vacation to avoid her boss finding out that she'd ignored his refusal.

Noe appeared in a video in which she seemed to be driving to Ari's place of work, with a caption which read: "Me replacing my twin at work while she's on a trip because her leave request got denied."

Viewers praised the idea after seeing the video, with one writing: "Yes we all should have a doppelgänger for these purposes."

Other TikTok users begged for an update, but it turns out the plot didn't quite go as smoothly as planned.

See, bosses also have TikTok, and it turns out, Ari's boss watched her video and naturally, wasn't happy at all.

In an update, Ari posted a video with the caption: "My boss saw the video my twin posted while covering for me at work."

"WE MESSED UP," the twins added alongside the clip.

In the video, Ari held her hand over her face before cutting to an image which appeared to show an email from her boss slamming her 'unacceptable behaviour'.

The email described Ari and Noe's plot as a 'slap in the face' to Ari's colleagues and the company, adding: "Your actions not only reflect poorly on yourself but also tarnish the reputation of our company. This level of disregard for protocol and decorum is frankly shocking and will not be tolerated."

Ari was also warned that 'any further instances of misconduct will result in serious consequences, including potential disciplinary action'.

Fans were taken aback by the update, and while some viewers have questioned whether the email is real, others couldn't get over the language allegedly used by the boss.

"Disappointed regards is my new favorite signature," one wrote of the boss' sign-off.

Another addressed Ari and wrote: "I NEED to know what your response to this is because WHAT."
