Drivers are just discovering car's 'life-changing' secret button that most people don't know about

Prepare to race to your car to try it out for yourself

People have been flooding to social media to weigh in after a TikToker revealed a 'genius' car hack.

If you're one of those people who are in their late twenties to early thirties and have still yet to pass your driving test, then prepare to feel salty, because this life hack doesn't apply to you.

However, if you do own a license and have the funds for a car despite living amid a cost of living crisis, then one TikToker has revealed a trick which other drivers are 'IN LOVE' with.

If you've ever been driving in the dark and out of nowhere ended up blinded by another vehicle behind you with their full headlights on, you may've had to resort to just hoping they see the look of outrage on your face through your mirror or to swearing at your steering wheel instead.

However, fear not, because a TikToker has revealed another solution.

TikToker Coach B - who goes by @everythingbrooklyn - took to the platform last year to reveal her revelation when she realized that there's a tab on the rear view mirror which can help ease your eyes from any blinding lights behind you.

The video shows the TikToker pushing a little tab located behind her rear view mirror away from her, the mirror then flipping down slightly.

The caption reads: "Me flipping the rear view mirror tab so the headlights don't blind me. My boyfriend is a genius, who knew! #fyp #todayyearsold #foryou #rearviewmirror."

And it's not taken long for people to flood to the post in praise of the hack. Prepare to race to your car to try it out:

One TikTok user said: "I didn’t know about this either until a few weeks ago and my life has been changed ever since."

"Just reminded me that I have this," another added.

A third wrote: "Oh my god, this is my favorite move!! It also emotionally feels like I’m flipping them off for having such gd piercing headlights."

And others weighed in with other tricks they've discovered themselves.

One user commented: "K so my car has an auto dimming mirror & it dims the mirror based on how bright the car behind me is. And it’s just a 2016 Mazda. Nothing fancy. When I bought it, the salesman explained to me how it works and I sat there like this It is life changing. By far my favorite feature."

And someone else added: "I can use a switch to move my two side mirrors and when someone with LED headlights is right behind me at a red light, I move them so it shines back."

So, what do you think?
