Jake Paul has confirmed a new date for his fight for Mike Tyson after the highly-anticipated bout was postponed indefinitely.

It was disappointing news for boxing fans everywhere when Netflix shared a post on X to announce that the fight between the boxing legend and the former YouTube star would not be going ahead as planned.

The fight was set to be streamed on Netflix as it happened on 20 July, but Netflix shared in a post that Tyson was suffering with health issues and would have to wait more than a few weeks before facing Paul, who is 30 years his junior.

The streaming service wrote: "Unfortunately Jake Paul and Mike Tyson will not face-off on July 20 as planned. Tyson’s recent ulcer flare up has limited his ability to train fully for the next few weeks.

"The fight will be rescheduled for a date later this year after Mike’s able to resume training with no limitations and both fighters can have equal time to prepare for this once-in-a-lifetime matchup!"

The announcement came after weeks of tension building between Paul and Tyson, with Paul coming out of the gate with some bold claims about how the fight between him and Tyson would turn out.

When he confirmed the fight, Paul wrote online: "My sights are set on becoming a world champion, and now I have a chance to prove myself against the greatest heavyweight champion of the world, the baddest man on the planet and the most dangerous boxer of all time. Time to put Iron Mike to sleep.”

It was initially unclear how long fans would have to wait to see the fight take place after it was postponed, but Netflix promised in the post that the new fight date would be announced by the end of the week.

Thankfully, Paul delivered today with a post on X.

Paul shared the news with a poster of the two fighters, writing: "New date, same place, same fate."

The fight is now set to take place at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on 15 November.

It will again still be streamed live on Netflix, meaning viewers can tune in from across the globe to see whether Paul succeeds in putting Tyson 'to sleep', or whether he'll end up being all talk.

Either way, the former YouTuber promised it would be a good show as he wrote: "Whether you're tuning in on Netflix or showing out in person, whether you're team Paul or team Tyson, or whether you're a lifelong boxing fan or watching your first fight, you're not going to want to miss this event."
