Legendary rapper Snoop Dogg has confirmed that his full time blunt roller has received a pay rise – thanks to inflation.

The rapper, who is notorious for smoking weed, hired a full time blunt roller in 2019 to make sure he always has perfectly rolled blunts on hand, as he doesn't have time to roll his own.

Speaking on The Howard Stern Show at the time, Snoop said: "Timing. That motherf***er's timing is impeccable. That's his J-O-B, his occupation. On his resumé, it says, 'What do you do?' 'I'm a blunt roller. P-B-R, professional blunt roller'.

"If you're great at something I need, I'm hiring you."

The weed enthusiast also confirmed his PBR's salary and benefits, saying: "That's somewhere between $40,000 and $50,000 a year. Free weed – all paid expenses. Everything I get, he gets. I go get some free clothes, I give him some."

On Tuesday (7 June), the rapper took to Twitter to confirm that his blunt roller has now earned a pay rise because of inflation. Responding to a tweet posted by UberFacts that stated the job comes with a $40,000-$50,000 salary, the rapper wrote: "Inflation. Their salary went up!"

The post attracted replies from thousands of fans with one witty user writing: "So the salary is also high?"

Another user wrote: "You need an extra person?"

Seth Rogen, who appeared on The Howard Stern Show along with Snoop, has praised the rapper's blunt roller. He said: That motherf***er is like Lurch from the Addams Family. ‘You rang?’ He knows how to gauge the look on someone’s face when it seems like they want a blunt and if they do, he gives you one."

The fellow weed enthusiast, who hangs out with Snoop, added: "There's been like 40 minutes where I'm like, 'I'm just watching this guy and I'm just going to see what is going on here'. As someone who smokes a lot of weed, it's f***ing fascinating."

Rogen, who described Snoop as 'genius', added: "Honestly, the amount of time I spend rolling joints, it might be worth my while financially to hire someone to do that."

Snoop is not the only rapper to have sought out a professional blunt roller. In 2014, it was reported that Waka Flocka Flame hired a blunt roller for $50,000. The job listing attracted more than 60,000 applicants, with Seth Rogen even filling the role for a short time.

Rappers Kid Cudi and G Herbo have also advertised for blunt rollers, although it is unclear if they ever found worthy candidates or whether they have give their employees a pay rise too.
