Bedroom kink ‘millions of women’ are into that most men still haven’t figured out

It might seem obvious but this small thing is a common turn on for many people, and plenty of folks haven't caught on

An expert has revealed a common kink among women which many men are not aware of.

When it comes to kinks there is certainly no shortage of things which get people in the mood.

They range from the relatively innocuous all the way to those that require an entire warehouse's worth of specialist equipment.

Some kinks and fetishes even go beyond the bedroom and can become a fundamental part of someone's life, with whole communities coalescing around them.

As for the particular kink we're talking about here, this probably falls closer to the more vanilla end of things.

You won't need to follow a set of Ikea-like instructions or make sure you're not allergic to latex to explore this, just open and and honest communication with a partner.

After seeing the kink go viral online many were in agreement, with one saying: “I can assure you that most romance book girls would likely have this kink!”

while another wrote: “I told him. He does it more now. Best day ever!”

So what is it?

This is a 'praise kink' - where someone gets turned on by receiving compliments and praise.

Of course, most of us would probably enjoy being complimented by our partner, unless you're the sort who prefers a 'recreational scolding'.

If one person's comment is anything to go by, it seems that this turn-on is well-known in kink communities.

They wrote: “Well well well, the vanilla community is just finding out about small kinks that the kinky community has known all along.”

While most of us would like being complimented, a 'praise kink' takes this a little further.

In a video on TikTok, expert Dr. Nicole K. McNichols said: “People who have praise kinks get turned on by their partner complimenting them.

"Praise kink exists on a continuum of course, because, I mean, who doesn’t love being told that they’re beautiful or hot or amazing in some way?”

So, while it could just be compliments, it could also be affirming someone. For example, using phrases like 'you're doing a great job', 'you're so good at that', and 'you're doing great, I'm so proud of you.'

The idea is that it helps someone to feel safe and appreciated in their relationship.

It's not clear why people develop a praise kink in particular, and it could be due to any number of reasons.

So now you know, but even for a relatively vanilla kink such as this, communication is key!
