People are comparing President Zelenskyy's recent trip to the UK to his heated meeting with Donald Trump at the White House.

On February 28, Zelenskyy visited the Oval Office and sat down with Trump and his vice president, JD Vance.

It wasn't long until the meeting descended into chaos though, with Trump going on to accuse Zelenskyy of 'gambling with World War 3' amid Ukraine's ongoing conflict with Russia.

Zelenskyy was also heavily criticized for not wearing a suit to the high profile meeting, with Trump saying upon his arrival: "You're all dressed up today."

He then turned to the media to echo the same thing and said 'all dressed up' while pointing at Zelenskyy's attire.

While Zelenskyy was greeted with a sarcastic remark from the POTUS, he received a warm embrace from British Prime Minister Keir Starmer when he arrived in London.

The pair laughed and spoke briefly while in front of the cameras, before heading into Number 10.

Elsewhere, the general public who were on hand for Zelenskyy's arrival cheered and applauded him — something which Starmer went on to address in their discussions.

"As you can hear from the cheers outside, you have full backing from across the United Kingdom and we stand with you, with Ukraine, for as long as it may take," the prime minster told his Ukrainian guest.

There's also photos of the pair doing the rounds online where they're seen enjoying a cup of tea while chatting to others.

The snap in question was posted to Reddit, which sparked a conversation about how Zelenskyy was treated by Starmer in comparison to Trump.

One person commented: "It makes me so happy to see President Zelenskyy smile, especially with what he's going through."

Replying to this, another Redditor wrote: "Me too! Such a stark contrast to what he looked like last week at the white supremacy house."

"He looks like he's visiting his grandma's house, and it really is heartwarming to see," said another.

Noting them sharing a cup of tea, a different person wrote: "And THAT is how you welcome someone who is going through some sh*t. Have a cup of tea lad, tell me what's going on."

Echoing similar sentiments, another penned: "I love how the British cure everything with a cup of tea. And it works."

Someone else went as far as saying that the heartfelt meeting made them 'proud to be British'.
